Still not sure about him, could be dropped at any time.

May have to pick him though with Coffield not playing.

Doedee might not be the lock we all think he is

Talia said fellow defender Alex Keath had recovered from an ankle injury sustained against the Power and was in the mix for round one.

It will be a choice between Keath and untried third-year defender Tom Doedee to fill the role vacated by Jake Lever.

"If you go with a smaller guy, like Tom Doedee, who's not quite as tall as Keathy, you get that rebound and that intercept marking," Talia said.

"He's able to do that, so there's pros and cons with both.

"It'll be a really tough decision, because in my mind, both guys have earnt the right to play, but there's only one spot there."

Have been feeling this way for a couple of weeks .. hoping he plays but prepared for him to be left out.

Hearing Nic Nat's a solid chance for R1. Anyone reckon he's got a 95 average in him with no preseason behind him? Clearly the Eagles' most valuable player, I think they'll feel inclined to get him in as quickly as possible. Do people know anything more about his R1 chances?

average wouldn't be my concern but durability would be

95 avg yes,   >1000 points for the season?  not so sure

Langdon, Ryan, Waterman, Venables, Garlett could all end up being 50ish junkers

I really only want to pick 2 of that lot for the bench, but could still pick 3 if I decide to go with Fristch + one of them on field

Carlton fans seem to think that Byrne is a certainty, im picking him atm, I think he will earn a reasonably fast 150-170k
