Wouldnt touch Stoddurt. O'conner would be tempting if he got a game. And in all honesty i thought Mirra would line up round 1, hawks were very impressed with him in that match until injured in the last 30 seconds. Id say he gets squeezed out now, plenty of 50/50's in his same posi so you take the fit one

North in 2018 alot less competitive than 2015-16. Goldy averages alot higher in wins. North challenging GC for wooden spoon honours imo. Still a good option if Preuss doesn't play.
But Ryder and Kreuz should score better.
On Goldys side is he won't have much competition for SC points!

Mentioned earlier that it would be tough to fit all of Geary, Roberton & Savage in the team alongside Coffield. Looks like that has played out in the end.

Easy fix for me Finlayson from mid bench to defence and Garlett as M11.

Doedee might not be the lock we all think he is

I still think he plays, but...

Talia said fellow defender Alex Keath had recovered from an ankle injury sustained against the Power and was in the mix for round one.

It will be a choice between Keath and untried third-year defender Tom Doedee to fill the role vacated by Jake Lever.

"If you go with a smaller guy, like Tom Doedee, who's not quite as tall as Keathy, you get that rebound and that intercept marking," Talia said.

"He's able to do that, so there's pros and cons with both.

"It'll be a really tough decision, because in my mind, both guys have earnt the right to play, but there's only one spot there."

Have been feeling this way for a couple of weeks .. hoping he plays but prepared for him to be left out.

O'connor possibly but Miochek won't be named round 1. Stephenson and Murray the only debutants.
