DRAFT 1:

Thoughts on my first draft? 27.1k itb

fasttrack13

Like defence, midfield and rucks... If D.Cameron lines up for Rd1 i'd have him for Olango to cover sandilands. Definitely, compensating down forward. Don't mind christensen pick as long as he's F5... Would use Bont and Armo to try and make that happen...

AaronKirk

Armo to Brodie would give you an additional 122,700. Bont to Coniglio $125400.

Then you would have $272,200 cash.

You could upgrade Bundy to any player $539k or less

Brodie a cheaper cash option likely IMO to average more than Christensen who has left me cold after his JLT games and Armo likely not to be a keeper.

You could go Christensen to Heeney for example.

Bont + Armo + Christensen 1 keeper, 1 unlikely keeper + expensive rookie slow burn

v

Conigs + Heeney + Brodie 1 keeper, Conigs at worst a decent M9 + better cash gen rookie.

Sounds like a plan, will do.

Yep, will bring in Cameron if I can afford him.

FINAL TEAM:

Bring on 2018! Any obvious changes that need to be made?

Ringo

If Simpson named rather than Lobb would go Lobb to Sicily for the extra 6k and flexibility with DPP and Keeffe.

Also would look at your 3 defenders and see if you could one into a Hibberd or Hurley as all 3 have the Rd 14 bye.

They would be the tweaks I would look at it apart from the playing rookies.

Yep, will get rid of Lobb if he's not named.

ROUND 2 UPDATE:

Here's how my team looks after round 2, sitting at around 8k, so off to a pretty good start.

I think I've nailed the rookies this year, which is pleasing.

For trades, I'm thinking of:

Armitage -> Bonner via Finlayson dpp
Sandilands -> Goldstein

Thoughts?

SilverLion

Not sure the Arma to Bonner trade is worth it, think they'll both make enough cash to be stepping stones.

Brayshaw to Garlett/Fogarty would be what I would do to get the funds for Goldy.

I was just concerned about the job security of Garlett/Fogarty, seeing as they may be dropped sooner or later, whereas Brayshaw won't be dropped anytime soon.

ROUND 4 UPDATE:

A disastrous round last week, only managing to score 2000.

My main concerns are:

GAJ, Goldy, Armitage, Kelly and Billings.

Looking at trades, this week, I'm thinking of bringing in one of Danger, Martin and Oliver.

I'll most likely do Gaz -> Oliver and Armitage -> Higgins (If named)

Next week, I'm thinking of doing:

Venables -> Guelfi and one of Doedee -> Yeo or Fritsch -> Sicily

Depending on how Doedee and Fritsch play.

I could also go Venables -> Guelfi and GAJ -> Oliver and hold Armitage for another week.

Thoughts on these moves?

With news that Kelly is out for 2 more,  thinkingof doing

GAJ -> Oliver and Kelly -> Sicily

Would people back Sicily to be a top 8 forward?

I'm backing him in as a top 15 in either def or fwd. Gotta take the good with the bad with him though.

That's good to hear, but it looks like he's going to have to wait, with news that Fritsch may be out.

Really torn on what to do...

Looks like I'll just do GAJ -> Oliver and hold Kelly, passing on Sicily, but in that case I have to play another rookie, most probably Fogarty.

Equally, I could do my intended trades GAJ -> Oliver and Kelly -> Sicily, but that means there's a possibility that I only have 21 playing.

Thoughts on what to do?
