Lobbs gonna smash it, 32ho, 14 to adv (should be 90pts acc to scoring system), 12d, 11 were contested, 3 frees = 107

He was 3rd highest HO to adv 43% last week, to put in perspective Nank had 26ho 4 to adv, Grundy 43ho 13 to adv

Besides Grundy which consisted of 11clangers, the inj interupted was on way to 100+ so the last scores really encouraging.
109, 129, 97, 55, 59, 107 are Lobb in number 1 ruck spot.

Thats as encouraging as Sicilys or Savages numbers upon having new role,

He was looking very ordinary in the 55 and 59 (pre injury) games though

He was rucking vs Lycett.

SilverLion

So many better options up forward...

Heeney, Gray, McLean

Walters, Mundy, Franklin, Smith, Robinson, Westhoff, Menegola

Darling, Hogan, Brown, Boak, Breust, Caddy, Taranto, Lambert

Holz

Will be a really good test this week as Goldy has actually been beating most rucks.

Besides Gawn who went 50 the other 6 rucks have only put up 26 HOs average with the best being 34 from Witts.

If he goes 100+ then i think at sub 400k he is a good cheap pick up if your are short of cash

I dont see a fwd line of say Heeney, Gray, McLean Buddy Smith Lobb being too weak

The Saltshaker

His 55 vs Grundy was ordinary, lot of clangers. His 59 was due to inj, in 2nd qtr!!

Had big collision at training before WCE match, came back out and resumed training. Cameron was singing praises, has been working hard, wants his spot in that side as main ruck.

Besides Grundy + clangers he has been good as #1 ruck at GWS 109, 129, 97, 55, 59*, 107

None of those high scores were against good rucks.

That's an average argument as he isn't going to go against "good" rucks everyweek

Not really. Ruck opponents are very relevant imo. Looking at GWS fixture apart from about 3-4 games out of 15 he plays good rucks. "Bad" rucks he plays are Belly,Hickey and Nank.

Bully

He's a wait & see prospect, but rucks can be great scorers in the forward line.

Yeah not writing him off totally. Just quite a few question marks.
Never played full season in ruck.
No evidence of high scores against good rucks.
The biggest one is his groin issues.
Basically the reasons I didn't start with him as tempting as a no.1 ruck at 400k in the fwd line was.
What's changed?
The only thing Goldspud can still do is win hitouts, so it's a good test vs Norf this week.

GoLions

Unfortunately have to wait until round 11 to see how he goes against a good ruck

The Saltshaker

Surely his role is condusive to pts

Bully

119 & is relishing his time without Keeffe, has to come under consideration.

“We’ve really managed him over the last three games in terms of his ruck duties,” GWS coach Leon Cameron told Channel 7’s Talking Footy on Monday.

“On the weekend (against the Bombers) was his first real crack at playing in the ruck at that 80 per cent mark.”

Reckon there's a good chance I look to bring him in after his bye - just hope he doesn't go up too much
