There's always risks involved with picking midprice players, you can see my view on them just to the left of this post :P

I think Lobb had upside and if he was a R/F I probably would've picked him for ruck cover (Like I did with Ryder and many did with Nank last season). We all know that playing sole ruck has its perks, just look at what Nank and Witts did last year, what Sinclair and English are doing this year. It's a great spot to play for SC scoring.

No pre-season and fwd only scared me off, looks like Christensen was the popular midprice option to roll with this season to make some coin. Could include a Dunkley and Taranto but they weren't really talked about much in pre-season.

Good comments, I went all out mid price this year & have won some & lost some. My team still looks ok with some minor issues.

Coniglio - Big tick
Sicily - tick
D.Smith - tick

Libba - lasted 10 minutes  :-[
Lobb - forced trade
Rioli - traded round 2
Armitage - still clinging on to hope

In hindsight I take O'Meara & Bundy & I have nailed it. The thing that annoys me most is I had these guys in for months.

I know most of us traded Lobb

Now that his back playing a different role , was wondering if he anyone is considering him again?

ubeaut

Different role? I thought he played fwd/ruck with Keefe and the same with Patton before injury?

MontyJnr

Yeah this different role is news to me. Happy to be enlightened, as I didn't follow that game closely...

Yep certainly am considering him, hes got the same role though

Really didnt start that bad, went bad vs Grundy which most have this year and then got injured, just unlucky

I started Lobb this year

Am I a glutten for punishment because I am thinking about bringing him back in?

Besides Gray (who I will get after his bye), Heeney and McLean I just don't love any of the other forward options available, and Lobb is still damn cheap which is very attractive for someone like me who has already had to use heaps of trades

I guess the question is, will he last and will he be good enough for F6?

I think he might be

Do it

Might try and learn from my mistake, give him a few weeks and see how he goes - then bring him in if he warrants it. If it costs 50k more then so be it - need that assurance I think

That said, will need to see teams tomorrow night - Lobb might be the break glass in case of emergency lol

See how he goes this week against Goldstein. BE of 65 so should still be around $400K even if he tons up

Still in the frame for me, rucks can be gold in the forward line. HOTA still a very strong suit, just need him to get more time in the middle, reckon Patton returning will help.

Surelyyy you wouldn't consider him. He's done nothing in his career to show he can score well apart from 2 games as ruck last year. Just not worth it. Walters and Buddy will be cheap forwards to get in the coming weeks

Yeah I probably prefer Walters, assuming he gets a significant amount of midfield time when he returns.

Both Buddy and Walters have the dreaded Rd 14 bye. Watching both to bottom out before deciding. Walters maybe before bye and Buddy after.
