Give me some merit Bully into going Lobb....still can't decide between him and Petracca

Just when my side was settled....

Leaves me in a strange situation where I left a money aside for more expensive rookies (Coffied) and to take Smith over Lobb if he wasn't named as the solo ruck. Looks like I now have $115k in the bank as well as currently holding Danger, with no clear way to spend the money should I go Danger -> Kelly if Barry flops.

*First ruck in a top notch midfield

*Ranked first for HOTA in 2017

*Ranked 2nd at GWS for contested marks 2017

*Performed strongly in two finals as first ruck

*Was primarily a ruckman as a junior

*Rucks usually score 90+ irrespective of their ability

Negative - dodgy groins but has been carefully managed in the preseason to be ripe for round 1. Kicked 3 goals last week against Sydney reserves.

With Danger out I think I may upgrade Sicily to Heeney & make Sicily my back-up plan if things go pear shaped in the first two games. The upisde is too good in this situation, could potentially be a top 6 forward this year.

I can afford Toby but think I'll get Lobb and sit on a shed load of cash.

In excess of 300k. It's absolutely ludicrous I know but I'm happy with my team as it is and can't bring myself to spend it by upgrading one of the other picks I have... for the moment at least.
Danger will be coming in soon.

I've never had that much coin in the bank when setting up my team. Usually it's anything from 10-70k.
I could start Toby but his price won't vary too much. Lobb could hit 500k+ if given a decent go as #1 ruck. Think it's wiser to start Lobb and assess before R3.

Got the money to upgrade him, but reluctant to chicken out. Conflicted.

Looks like there's a lot of us in this situation.

Was either him or Sicily

For me it’s out of Petrecca vs Sicily vs Lobb. Smith is locked in. I take all your points bully but with a limited preseason I’m not sure he’s a lock at this stage? Might take 2-3 games to get him going. Petrecca is really appealing because of the injury to Viney but could relish in this position. Has re-signed and is only 22.

Sicily could also flourish in the intercept role and is a great contested mark. Problem is his discipline in giving silly free kicks and 50s.

So a really tough on for me but imo leaning on Petrecca > Sicily > Lobb....just!!

For me it's Lobb > Sicily > Petracca.

My issue with Petracca is the fact he hasn't yet strung a decent clutch of games together. No doubt he will be an A grader but difficult to say when that may occur.

Dont see the hype I had lobb last year.Only two scores over 100

He wasn't first ruck.

PiPies

Willing to give Lobb a go, his HOTA last year was against weak ruckman but he does a bit around the ground and can kick a goal or 2.

Geez bully can you please stop telling everybody why Lobb is a choice selection.     They can all go tracca et al.   Do like the sicily to heeney upgrade idea.  How do you get Danger back in though.

Got sicily f4 lobb f5 atm, no bundy.   3 playing def rookies.

Neither has Lobb though. Although back to back tons last year did come in the last two games in finals they played so there is that upside. Not saying he doesn’t have the potential considering he’s number 1 ruck, might be wrong but only reason I’m not picking him is his lack of preseason with the injury.

Perfect opportunity for Petrecca to grab it with both hands as a Dusty type role and make a stand with his captain (one of them) out. Time will tell but see plenty of upside in him.
