I feel as though he has the highest ceiling out of pretty much any forward.

Yeah Lobb *daylight* then Buddy, Gray, Heeney, Billings & Greene in order of ceiling

In fact, I have Lobb only second to Danger overall...

1. Danger
2. Lobb
3. Martin
4. Fyfe
5. Kelly

::)
If he was to play sole number 1 ruck, then why can't his ceiling be 100-105 like all other sole ruckmen? He's 25, been in the system for 4 years now. We saw Nankervis, Smith, McEvoy, Witts and even Bellchambers score in and around 90 as sole ruckmen last season. Not really an unreasonable shout.

Looks like I was half a minute too slow posting, beaten to it :D

I was responding to a post which claimed Lobb has the "highest ceiling out of pretty much any forward".

Buddy's ceiling is like 170 when he kicks a bag. Suggesting Lobb will reach anywhere near these heights is just ridiculous.

He has no JLT or pre-season behind him and has played 2 games ever as sole ruck.

Mason Cox will be a top 6 forward is a more realistic call.  ;D

Thank-you Monty, you are doing a good job keeping all the sheeple away.  ;)

I took it as season average ceiling, not game by game ceiling. Obviously game by game then yeah I agree kinda, although I don't agree Buddy's ceiling is 170, it's 200 :P

Dev Smith and Petracca are 40k more and have had uninterrupted pre-seasons.

Happy to take them over Lobb. Had Lobb not had an interrupted pre-season and played 1 JLT he would be someone to consider from my perspective. Happy to be proven wrong.

Currently have all three but will chop Lobb if D Simpson is named round 1 too.

frenzy

some people may have never seen this ruck god in action, from last year.

The less people that pick him the better, as far as I'm concerned

If he's named round 1, especially without Simpson, he'll complicate things for me. Had him early in the pre-season, but gone off him due to no JLT. I'll probably find a way to get him at F4 if he's named.

I'm hoping he's not named for this reason so I don't have to make this decision otherwise I'll try and get him in which may not be the best move :-\

Everyone will jump on after 2 rounds if he is any good.

Best case scenario is you have a POD for 2 weeks scoring 100s, which is what everyone should be expecting from their 400k+ players anyway.

I’m looking for advantages for taking a risk on him, but I just don’t see any.

I'd put money on him to outscore Petracca this year, can see that being a very popular trade in round 3. Worst case scenario is you have 2 cash cows waiting to be picked and have to overlook Lobb.

Anyone heard any news about Lobb in regards to playing R1? Currently he's at F4 for me, but I haven't seen or heard anything about him in the past few days. Brought him back in cos he looked like he'd overcome his injury, and imo he's a must have at his price, but the silence is unnerving. Anyone heard anything?

Has played a practice match in the NEAFL and scored 3 goals and played in the ruck for a fair amount of time is what I have heard however I have not actually seen anything and have heard that from Bully.
