Interesting moves. Would leave your backs extremely thin.

I'd look at trading 2/3 of Venaspud, Barry, Brayshaw. Bring in Coff for one, not sure for the other. Maybe Guelfi?

It would appear that way, but I am trading out my lowest averaging defender ;) Then getting my worst scorer (Henry) off my field onto my bench.

Venables has a BE of 16 so will still go up, Brayshaw goes this week as BE > Avg. Barry can sit M11 for now, Guelfi won't rise in price this week so making that trade has no upside.

Yeah probably fair enough regarding Hibberd and Guelfi.

You sure about Gray ahead of any other options? Mundy, McLean, Walters all look good.

_wato

Venables apparently out for 3 months so has to go.

Yeah he does, might wait a week on that one and turn to Guelfi. No rush on that move.

With news of Lewis missing 1 and maybe 2, I think I'll hold on Hibberd yet again haha. A lot depends on the Goldstein situation as to what I do. If he gets dropped or Preuss gets named alongside I'm outta here asap and going to Grundy.

Haven't even looked at Mundy, scored pretty well it seems. Gray has been playing midfield and we know how well he did when he last did that (110+ wasn't it?). Was clearly injured in 2017 and spent bulk time fwd. Even if he does end up playing more fwd as the year progresses he will still average well for a fwd (~90 in that time). Only reason I wouldn't pick Gray is because I am also looking at him in AF and I don't like trading in the same premium into my side in the same week, and being a Port player too last thing I'd want to do is jinx him ;D

Good call. Next week Venaspud --> Guelfi and you could upgrade basically any rookie to any prem.

Already done Banfield -> Spargo in the above picture. Leaves me with ~$260k to play with. Final trade is the interesting one. Tim English will be the one that goes as right now there's only 5 playing fwds and he's maxed in price. And now is where a flow chart is required I think :P

Question 1 is upgrade or downgrade? Ronke/Mutch the options here (via Spargo). I'd only really do this if there's nothing else to come ahead, but perhaps there might be? Between Keeffe, Eagles and the guys on debut this week I could find someone for next week yeah? Plus I think I can't keep playing short on premiums and upgrade now that I have the chance.

Say I upgrade (Which is where I'm leaning), then I have options... $548k to play with. I can get a fwd, I can get a mid and play Spargo in the fwds. I can get a back and play Spargo in the fwds and put Coff on the mid bench and Naughton goes to D7. So, the names I've narrowed it down to: Mitch Robinson (BE 66, $496k), James Sicily (BE 29, $498k), Matt Crouch (BE 96, $533k), Michael Hurley (BE 126, $548k), Elliot Yeo (BE 113, $532K).

Now is where I need responses, split those 5 names!

Looks to me like you might benefit most from a defender, risky relying on 4 rookies to all score well each week on field. I'm grabbing Sicily this week myself, so I guess I'd suggest him haha. Wihth that BE, it's arguably now or never for him, FWD/DEF DPP could be handy, has a good bye, but is a giant flog which could definitely be a turn-off.

SilverLion

I would probably go Ronke PB. Bank the cash and bring in Crouch/Yeo/Hurley next week.

Or you could bring in Sicily, as GL said his BE is tiny so this would probably be the last week to get him.

Mongoose528

Agree with what's been said so far, I'd probably bring in Crouch this week, as I don't fancy Sicily to do well in the rain. Sicily can come in next week, or the week after.

PowerBug

Got Sicily in the end :-\ Playing him up fwd for now

Thanks mainly to Naughton's donut, my season doesn't get much better. I'll be trading in Westhoff, Ryder and Rockliff after our bye though. Go all in on our good fixture run.

Round 8 Score: 2057
Overall Rank: 22,106 (-816)
Trades Left: 20

Oliver (BE 75) or Yeo (BE 96) are coming in this week, who goes out will help decide which way I go and who the downgrade target is. So {Keeffe (BE -33), Phillips, Cumming, Ainsworth} are the downgrade options, {Doedee (BE 90), Finlayson (BE 85), Naughton (BE 100)} are the choices for trading out.
