First attempt at it, I still have 96k in the bank, tear it apart!

Backs - reasonable. Can't fault your first three or your last three (as they're all in my team), not so certain on Brayshaw though due to his pretty large pricetag and I don't think he can raise his price by that much. No problems with Coffield either, I just don't have him in - if you need 80k for something I'd say he's on the chopping block, seeing as I'm confident that one (if not both) of Doedee and Finlayson would make a fine D6 until you can upgrade them.

Mids - Treloar could be a good POD and I reckon he can improve his average close to 115. I prefer Coniglio to Whitfield but both fine picks as PODs, as is Selwood. I have no idea about Robbie Fox and he wasn't on my radar so won't comment on him, but not having Kelly (224k) or Banfield (170k) as mid rookies could hurt as I feel they'll score as many points and improve their price more than Brayshaw and Clark, but it's not that big of a deal.

Ruck - Don't trust Naitanui at all, of course if he misses round one he'll be out of your team but either way I just don't trust his knee holding up (or him being any good).

Forwards - Very nice indeed, we share 4 of our starting 6 and the other two (Heeney and Walters) I have no problems with, although maybe consider going Lobb over Walters and using the 93k saved on upgrading Nic Nat.

Now I haven't seen that many teams this offseason so far apart from my own but your side looks pretty decent, plenty of good PODs and no outrageously (or even moderately) bad selections.

Cheers for the advice Jukes, I've gone ahead and made a few adjustments on your advice. I have also narrowed my team down to two options and was hoping you guys could help me decide which way to go!

Team 1:

Team 2:

chief007

Both pretty good, dunno about fyfe he looks like he could be in for a good year but he had a average of 105 the year he won the brownlow so ud reckon neale could be a better option if u can find the cash, team 2 is good but how will zorko go with no rocky giving him the ball as much?

Scored 119 and 124 when Rocky was out last season.  Scores of 89, 109, 122, 91 and 106 in games where Rocky missed in 2016.  I think he'll be pretty fine I think.

Jukes

I reckon the first team out of those two

lachie_001

Do you think its worth dropping Brayshaw down to maybe O'Shae (if named) or a Naughton for a cash grab?

I also agree with Fyfe, not sure about his AF ceiling, I think I will go Fyfe up to a stronger premo, which one out of Dusty, Neale or Merrett?

chief007

Neal if u want cash for a bit of risk the other 2 aren't as much as a rish ie u get what u pay for

lachie_001

Okay so I think I will be rolling into round 1 with this line up, made a number of changes again, my only worry is that coffield doesn't get named so fingers crossed because no idea who to replace him with!

I have 63k left in the bank!

Jukes

Yeah I’m fairly sure Coffield isn’t playing, but your backline is pretty decent and I know many people fielding both of Doedee and Finlayson so it could be worth downgrading him to a 170k guy who’s playing to be your D8 - would leave you with 149k left to play with

Love your midfield btw, mine is the exact same except I don’t have Coniglio :P

;D Cheers! I'll wait til teams are announced but if he's out I might have a look at Lachlan Murphy, he is a good chance of playing on Friday night. What do you think of Christensen with the extra money, I am still a little worried with how light my forward line is looking?

I have Bundy in my team, not 100% confident in him but I reckon he’s good enough value to include, and I guess you can always downgrade him if he doesn’t work out. Does look a bit light though, but forward lines are going to look weird this year - I have Smith, Sicily, Petracca, Lobb, Christensen and Fritsch aha, I reckon and hope it’s fairly strong and competent but in the end it’s a low-tier premium, four mid-pricers and a rookie!

Still struggling with decisions, coffield out has been unsettling, so ive decided to find a little bit more cash with merrett to rockliff which I'm really hoping doesn't burn me and then rayner to petracca for some forward stability and confidence. I think depending ill put in o'conner murphy if he gets named for geelong tonight and then its o'conner vs doedee for D6.

I like what you've done with your side its come up mint. I've got Rockliff as well and I guess with him vs Merrett, I think we know Merrett will average 115+ while with Rocky hes got the potential to average the same for a lesser price but at a new club thats the unkown. I have Rayner in my side and can relate to the uncertainty with him vs that of a premo. I was very tempted to do something similar with petracca myself but felt that without him having had a true breakout year himself yet if he was also worth that risk.

I like the swap from Lloyd to Hibberd, just curious as to what your reasoning was. I'm facing the exact same dilemma myself.

Jukes

I also like it, good team.

Now, you and I have the hard part - sorting out which back and midfield rookies to play! Few very hard calls here that I'll undoubtedly get wrong.
