Exactly what I've been trying to say (post above)

Savage is a flowering good kick. They'll give him the ball as much as possible.

Billings was not in the midfield rotations at all last season... at any stage. He's always been a HFF with the very ocassional stint on the wing and will continue to be for the rest of his career. This is where he plays his best footy.

As for Savage, he will be a 90+ player. I'm thinking 93. Had him locked since day 1. He's going to be take Robertons role as the go-to player out of defense. Kick happy and hits the targets.. but please don't pick him. I'm happy to have him all to myself.

This is 100% bang on. Coming from a mad Saint, Billings will never be an extractor. His kicking is too deadly to be wasted as an inside mid. Think Dal Santo at his prime but a goal kicker. Flip his GA from 23.36 last year to 36.23 this year, and he avgs 100+

On Savage- Now that Joey is gone. He is the designated kicker. Roberton will play the General role with Geary and control our back half, while Savage will take Joey's role. If he avgs less than 95, I will be very surprised.

There will be some very surprised people in this thread come round 23 :P

Think I'm going to bring him in, just feels right.

Did you Removed Danger to get this done? I’m struggling to fit a 400K player at D4

I didn't realise this will be Savages 10th season! Last year was the first time he had averaged over 82. Do people think he can go 95 this year?

Reckon there are similarities between Savage and Aaron Hall

Have their patches of strong form but have their sub 70 stinkers too, ultimately resulting in an average that's not good enough to be Top of their line

Definitely see the appeal (In both) but I'd want Savage to be 50k less to seriously consider him

The only reason I am considering him is because of Montagna leaving and savage maybe utilised more for his role.  He has a great kick on him and would be one of the top players for kicks inside 50.

In saying that , I have still opted for Lloyd @ $200 more ???

The problem with Savage has traditionally been continuity in the rebounder role, when he's been given the opportunity he usually relishes the position. Including the last 2 JLT games he's now notched up 7 tons & only 1 score under 80 (from 10 matches). Definitely worth a punt this year.

Yeah it's without Danger. Unortunately a bit hard to do with him in the side

92 and 97 to start the year off.

Hasn't set the world on fire, but neither have the Saints.

Think he's going to be a solid pick.

Yeah happy with him so far. To get 97 in the team’s performance is a positive.

Thought he looked pretty good in vision of the game. Way more visible than Billings, IMO.

meow meow

He got positive score for kicking it out on the full while Armitage stayed put even though he won a hard ball and effective handball. He's a CD boy at the moment.
