First team post of the year. Like everyone I’ve been playing with the structure a lot but quite happy at moment to seek feedback on 2 versions!

TEAM 1
DEF: Laird, Hibberd, Rampe, Doedee, Finlayson, Murray (Payne, Murphy)
MID: Danger, Dusty, Titchell, Fyfe, Cripps, Conigs, Dow, Barry (Banfield, T Kelly, Holman)
RUC: Goldy, Gawn (Olango)
FWD: Billings, McLean, Smith, Sicily, Christensen, Garlet (Fritsch, Ryan)

TEAM 2
DEF: Laird, Hibberd, Shaw, Coffield, Doedee, Finlayson (Payne, Murphy)
MID: Danger, Dusty, Titchell, Fyfe, Cripps, Conigs, Dow, Barry (Banfield, T Kelly, Holman)
RUC: Martin, Gawn (Olango)
FWD: Billings, McLean, Smith, Sicily, Stephenson, Garlet (Fritsch, Ryan)

Essentially comes down to:
1. Rampe, Murray, Goldy, Christenson
2. Shaw, Coffield, Martin, Stephenson

I’m leaning towards Team 2 but keen for thoughts!

Reckon team 2 has more chance of lining up round 1, Murray didn't play JLT1 which is a concern. In saying that I prefer Goldy & Bundy.

G'day Blues, Yeah really like Team #2 except for Stephenson. I'd be cashing the extra $$ for someone/where else. But yeah really like it and Stef Martin as a POD.

Edit: or Actually Stephenson up to someone like Bundy (as he looks the only decent one in-between in the price bracket) which you might have to sacrifice Dow for...)

RUC: Goldy, Gawn (Olango)
FWD: Billings, McLean, Smith, Sicily, Christensen, Garlet (Fritsch, Ryan)

I’d prefer Martin over Goldy but cash is tight! Plus not sold on Shaw either...

Ruck: Love the goldy pick, haven't seen him many sides at all
Fwd: Exact same forward but you've got Billings and I've got Walters.

Cheers mate. Shaw burned me last season (like many) and I vowed not to touch the bloke again, especially given his age. But he looked solid vs Pies and I hope he can return to old role and form? Who did you replace him with?

Cheers MS, that is the issue indeed. But given the apparent shortage of quality forward rookie options I’ve seen a lot of teams loading up forwards and rolling with rooks from D4-6.

One option is to lose a midfield premium and bolster defense but really liking the deep midfield. Having said that,  I doubt I’ll change this team another 200 times before the first bounce!

Do not mind rookies at D4 so long as you have Sicily as F4 and Bundy at F5. Just need to have that plan B if enough rookies do not start.

Fwd: Billings, Walters, Smith, Sicily, Christensen, Fritsch (Ryan, Garlett)

Salary cap $15.9k remaining.

I haven’t seen JJ in many teams but I think at his price he slots in nice at D4.

Had to choose between Dusty and Titchell and I opted for the Brownlow medalist.

Went strong up front due to lack of rookie action, and I think Weitering offers value.

Love some feedback.

100% would drop weiters to a rookie, probably Lachlan Murphy. Does offer value, but given you already have Conigs, Cripps, Petracca and sicily its probably 1 too many guys who are probably 50/50 top 10 for their position. Would use the leftover cash to make them into premo's

Agree, Weitering will be good for an 80-85 average which is going to leave you in that awkward position where he is doing well enough that you don't trade him but not going to be in the top tier of defenders come seasons end. Would drop him too someone like Keefe that has DPP for added flexibility.

Use the money where you see fit.

Hi all,

My team is really struggling and I’m stuck on where to go next. I don’t normally post these “help me and give advice” posts but HELP I NEED ADVICE!

DEF: Laird, Simpson, Doedee, Finlayson, Murray, Coffield (Naughton, Murphy)
MID: Danger, Dusty, Titch, Fyfe, Cripps, JPK, T Kelly, Spargo (Holman, Brayshaw, Barry)
RUC: Gawn, Goldy (Olango)
FWD: Gray, Sicily, Smith, Taranto, Billings, Higgins (Fritsch, Guelfi)

Cash = $293.7k

Problems:
- Defence: only 2 premos, so I know u need to start upgrading
- Rucks: goldshower has to go, but when? Grundy obvious choice but pricey
- Fwds: Billings leaked so much cash. Plus I’m scared to trade him because I’m sure he’ll turn it around once I do

Was thinking:
- this week of going Goldy to Martin and Finlayson to Yeo. But then I’m thinking it might be worth waiting to see how Ryder and Kruez perform post injury over next week or so.
- Next week trade Billing’s to Heeney and bring in Phillips for Holman/Brayshaw

But I’m keen for any feedback and suggestions!!
