Finally made a team for this year but no plans to stop living in 2017 (GO TIGES) any time soon.

Got $89,800 to spare but not sure how much will go into getting rookies that are named...

good team LH,  great balance and depth in mids.

Thanks mate. Fyfe and Coniglio have been locked since the end of last year. Cripps with a full preseason is hard to ignore. The other three are just set and forget (I hope). Unsure if JOM is a good idea or not. Kinda considering Armitage too or just using the money elsewhere. As usual, Forwards and Backs giving me the least confidence.

If both are named Rd. 1, I'd be leaning towards Arma. Proven scorer, more experienced, got the runs on the board.

Nide side also, only concern would be if theres not enough rookies to fill D4-8, hopefully there is.

nice side! You could consider spending the spare cash on one of coffield or naughton in defence

Money Shot

really good side, just feel as though your defence is a little weak with a 123k rookie at D4.

LaHug

Dangerfield's injury has changed things entirely. Got a strong D4 now and pretty happy everywhere else.

Great team LH. I like the 3 premo and 5 rookie setup in def that you initially had as I think there’s def value there. I think you can drop a back to a rookie and get Sicily up fwd to link up with Keefe. Watch Fogarty to see if named but would think makes way for Capt Tex. Good luck!!

Ringo

I would do Shaw to Coffield/Naughton and Fogarty to Sicily. Think that 4 of the 5 defensive rookies will play and then you have Sicily to swing as well.

Apart from that nice team.  Goodluck.

LaHug

Thanks for the tips guys. Obviously all depends on rookies named but I'll probably follow that advice.

No concerns about Sicily scoring poorly?

Money Shot

Agree with other comments on Murray/Doedee/Finlayson all being good enough to start with Coffield/Naughton looking the goods as well.

Forwards such as Rioli/Garlett/Ryan will struggle to score well consistently.

Final team prior to team announcements.

Major concern is 8 premiums for the last bye. Strongly considering moving on Dusty (to Kelly or Merrett) and picking him up later but worried he'll burn me with a huge score if I do. Other option is moving Heeney back to Greene but everyone's selling me on Heeney. Thoughts?

crowls

Dusty has high variation and therefore could be available later at a lower price.   FWIW I recommend keeping him and replacing Parker who is a 100-110 player at best.  Little upside to him,  look at Beams or Bont or Zerret if you can afford him.
Good depth in the fwds which will be needed as rookies likely to slow burn if available.   Not sold on Wingard,  what is his advantage over a Buddy, Walters, Greene, or even Lobb who I see outscoring CW this year in overall points.    Use the cash to upgrade Parker to Zerrett.

LaHug

Good points there. I really like Parker as a chance to return to 2016 form, meaning he's 13 points underpriced, but you're right that it might not be worthwhile if he doesn't end up in the top 10 mids. His 2016 average would've put him 7th last year in the comp.

Rather than lose Dusty or Parker from the r14 bye I'd look at dumping Lloyd or Savage instead. Could get Simpson or find cash for Hibberd.
