Another article says that the role is opposition analysis.  As long as he is not directing or controlling anything to do with the health of players I think I can live with it.

More details of James Hird and the job with Fremantle - they've confirmed he's a candidate for a part-time opposition analyst role with the club, based in Melbourne

So could be a nice position for him as no big involvement.

One club systematically doped players with performance enhancing drugs.

One club displayed complete negligence when a group of players were consistently using recreational drugs in their private life.

Not saying what the Eagles did was right by any means, I am one of very few Eagles fans that can appreciate that the club has a lot to answer for in the downfall of Cousins, Kerr, Chick, etc but jeepers creepers there's a stark difference between having minimal care for player welfare outside of the clubs four walls as opposed to intentionally doping them with performance enhancing drugs to improve on-field performance.



Anyway, thats not what this thread is about - so play on.

A few high profile football experts have come out in support of Hird; Matthews and Shaw the two I saw this morning I think.
