Hi All, looking for a bit of help with my team.
Currently have about $39,500 leftover in the bank.

If image not displaying for whatever reason:
BACK: Laird, Hibberd, Lloyd, Hanley, Sicily, Doedee (Finlayson, Mirra)

MID: Martin (c), Kelly (vc), Fyfe, Cripps, O'Meara, Griffen, Dow, Bailey (Brodie, Ahern, Barry)

RUCK: Gawn, Goldstein (Olango)

FWD: Heeney, Billings, Dalhaus, Christensen, Higgins, J.Garlett (Venables, Fritsch)

A few im not so sure about- Cripps and O'meara in my midline. Carlton players (Docherty excepting) have a history of being a bit up and down, and although there is a lot of hype about Cripps I'm still not sold. O'Meara is in a similar category, but looks to have gained considerable bulk in the off season and I feel this could be a breakout year for him. Other possibilities for similar price include Angus Brayshaw.

I feel my backline is solid enough for now, as are my rucks.
I feel a bit nervous playing 2 rookies in my forward line, but I guess we will see how things go.

Once again, team attached and any help/advice appreciated!

Really good first up team.

Least favourite out of Hanley/Sicily too a rookie and Griffen too Danger is what I would do for better balance and less risk.

Cripps and O'meara are both really good picks in my opinion.

Cheers. I want to get Danger in like you said, but I was hoping he might drop slightly after the first few weeks to around $680k or so. Will be interesting to see if his impact continues with the injection of ablett into the side.

I will consider what you said re: Hanley/Sicily though to a rookie. Anyone you would recommend?

An updated team!

Not sure about Menegola as my Premo Forward. What do people think of this?
Would I better off with a Buddy?

fasttrack13

Would have sicily as a fwd and get Naughton/Murphy/Coffield in that order as a defence rookie.

Need a deeper midfield, if you're going to run 3 rookies on field would recommend only having one of cripps and coniglio at m5. M1-4 need to be concrete and IMO cripps is a flimsy m4.

Franklin > Menegola... In fact, Walters/Heeney/Smith/J.Cameron/Mundy all ahead of menegola

Love Corey Ellis pick, Prestia out for opening few weeks will allow him to cement his spot and then the sky is the limit. Just hoping he continues to slot into that midfield.

ubeaut

I think with the likely amount of back rookies Ellis at D5 is too much.
Put him D4. Move Sicily fwd at the expense of one of the premos and upgrade Dow to a premo mid.
That is what I would do.

PureSwag

1. James Sicily should go Forward as thier is less dept this year in FWD.
2. Paddy Dow isn't Supercoach ready and not the worth the moeny.
3. Brodie is do much to keep on the bench.
4. Sam Menogla isn't worth the money as with Geelong best team his thier 4th Option in Mid and will play alot more FWD time so his score will dip a lot.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Have made some changes:

Switched Sicily forward at expense of Dalhaus and brought in Naughton
Downgraded Brodie to T.Kelly
Upgraded Dow to M.Crouch
Realised i didn't need the DPP coverage on the ruck bench and saved some money by switching English to Olango
Switched Menegola to Franklin

I think that I am happy with the team now, and will wait for team selections before playing around with some rookies.
Have $35,200 in the bank to play with.
Biggest omission is clearly Danger, but will see (if) he plays R1, and if so how he does.

Really like the team.

If Danger plays I think he is a must so would go Ellis to Coffield and One of your mid premiums to Danger if you could afford it.

2335 round 1, not bad!

Thanks for the tips all!
