Hi all. May as well post some of my SC musings for 2018.

This is by no means a first draft and I am relatively happy to sit on this for now.

Cash left: $8,200

Bye structure is 2-7-11-10 with premo bye structure 0-2-4-8 which is not ideal but can be improved on.

Def: Laird , Hibberd, Lloyd, Sicily, Naughton, Finlayson (Doedee, Murray)
Mid: Dangerfield, Martin, Mitchell, Fyfe, Pendlebury, Dow, LDU, Barry (Worpel, Kelly, Holman)
Ruck: Jacobs, Gawn (English)
Fwd: Heeney, Billings, Petracca, Christensen, Fritsch, Garlett (Keefe, Ahern)

Rookie are placeholders for now.

Bully

Backs - Tick

Mids - All good, personally think Pendles is slightly risky but could pay off. I reckon you could replace LDU with a cheaper rookie or go with Brodie.

Rucks - Tick (but think of Olango for loophole)

Forwards - F6 worries me, Garlett not the answer however let's see how he goes in JLT.

Money Shot

Can see that it is not your first team, good team to sit on.

RaisyDaisy

Nothing out of the ordinary so looking good to sit on for now

Lloyd the one I would probably dump though - didn't crack the ton once in his last 11 games of 2017 and has the RD14 bye

Trindacut

Lot of people struggling with balancing the byes this year. 8 guns  in your starting team just too many for rd 14, it’s almost a POD in it’s own right if you’re able to get that down to 6 so you can pick up a rd 14 cheap gun on the rise if there is one, without the inevitable sacrifice in Rd 14.

DEF - Standard, 3 premos + 1 mid.
MID - Standard 5-6 Premos, nice choices. 1 of the few teams with Pendles. i like it.
RUC - Standard.
FWD - Standard, 3 premos + 1 mid

overall nice team, and set up well for changes after JLT.

Check out my Team and comment please. Thanks

It is definitely something for me to consider but we need the adequate rookies to make the changes.

I am very much set on my starting premo mids.

Some of the other potential keepers on other lines could be changed given JLT.

Ringo

Nice team to Sit but watch that rd 14 bye I would look at replacing Llod and one of Heeney/Billings for balance. No need for rookies just similar priced.

#8
Final starting team. Scored 2458 in round 1.  Ranked 397th overall. $18,400 cash leftover.

Unless I get an LTI I will not be trading this week.

AaronKirk

Round 2 scored 2382. Ranking moved from 397th up to 218th.

My best start to a season ever. Not sure about trades this week.

AaronKirk

I am considering going Hibberd to Ryan via Sicily DPP and then Armitage to Dangerfield.

If I don't pull these trades I probably will hold this week. Any other suggestions or ideas as always are welcome.

Ringo

Armitage has a B/e of 8 so will increase in value. Sicily may be suspended also. And Danger does not change till next Rd either and unless he pulls out a big one will go down in price,

So this adds up to hold unless you want to get rid of expensive rookies. Pity Garlett is already in mids otherwise you could have done Brayshaw to Ryan.

Great start mate. Hibberd's BE is 175 so if you're going to trade him it's now or never. I'm pondering the same but for Shaw who also has the same bye.
Your suggested trades look great. Any trade to bring Danger in has merit. You're not giving much away for it... an iffy defender and a midfielder on the comeback trail who hasn't set the world alight yet. Ryan will make cash and appears to have solid JS.
Otherthing to weigh up is Langdon out for a month.

Could use Petracca as the swing to do Brayshaw => Ryan. Gives the cash to do Naughton => Bonner.

Sicily being suspended has thrown my plan up a bit but will think about it. Happy to use ZGL as a loophole for now.
