Just not hard at the ball, it’s just as simple as that. Never again on my sc list!

Then how did he get so many good scores last year that made people fork out 500k plus this year ?

A few things I've noticed - very few centre square appearances, kicking at goal has been appalling & the Saints forward entries have been haphazard. The other point is teams simply don't give him much latitude.

Just had a quick look at his scores last year and a lot of his big scores are when he played FWD he really did not spend much time in the mids , so maybe just put it down to failure to launch  :D

He was talked up in the pre-season like he gets a huge amount of midfield time, but it was a complete myth. He really never spent much time in there. At best he floated up to the wing on occasion, but rarely would he attend centre bounces.

I admittedly didn't see much of St Kilda last season and was sucked into what others were saying about him. He had an injury interrupted pre-season too, so I am staggered that alone didn't set off alarm bells.

Ultimately, the game needs to be played in St Kilda's forward half for him to see the ball.

The issue is more that I along with many others didn't foresee the saints being bad this year - certainly not like they have been. If they were winning more games/more competitive then Billings would score much better. We knew he scored tonnes better in wins than losses - it's why he's got a 130+ to his name this year despite being awful.

Did score 52SC in the second half, so I guess that's something

"I thought Jack turned the corner a bit for us today.

"He hasn't been in great form. He got a fair bit of the footy last week. He was able to kick a reasonably nice goal but overall, didn't play with the sort of presence that Billings plays with and brings to our team. For big parts of the game today, against quality opposition, I thought he was able to do that."

The work Billings did without the football impressed Richardson.

"His contest in the air and at ground level, his ability to be able to get after the opposition and put on pressure. The pressure side of his game, given the offensive form hasn't been there, has actually been pretty solid for us this year," Richardson said.

Have to disagree. The Saints were competitive last week and yesterday. Billings was still crap. He's just crap.

Bully

Billings isn't SC relevant this year, people need to either trade him or get him to F7.

Looking like I will be forced to get rid of him finally if I want Austin. Every other rookie I own is either doing well enough to hold down an on-field spot until their bye (Fritsch & Doedee) or doesn't have enough value to enable me to do an upgrade with another trade.

47, 57, 54, 57, 70 & 58 his last 6 scores. Can't see any benefit having him as an F7 backup with those numbers.

RaisyDaisy

The only reason I still have him is because I've always had something else pop up that needed to be dealt with

With 3 trades this week I can finally dump this spud!

Feels really good not seeing the name “Billings” in my team. Now I can really concentrate on bringing in Gray/Westhoff next week  8)

+1
Billings > Walters
Now watch him score 130 like Kelly.

SilverLion

Will be F7 this week. Hopefully he stays there.

I too dumped him this week for Walters. Never has it felt so good to push the trade button......... except this one time, on a footy trip to Sydney.........  ::)
Next stop Goldy to Grundy after the bye!

Huttabito

Billings -> Austin (via Sicily) and build bank to $500k.

Opens up another premium defender spot but will have a few options available.

+1 I'll be doing Billings to Austin too, but I'll throw Keeffe forward. Same shower really

imjusflexin

I'll see you out to the end Jacky boy. Still rather have you then some even less reliable rookie.

And on the off chance he churns out some tons, I'll be laughing.
