Billings?

Looking like I will be forced to get rid of him finally if I want Austin. Every other rookie I own is either doing well enough to hold down an on-field spot until their bye (Fritsch & Doedee) or doesn't have enough value to enable me to do an upgrade with another trade.

47, 57, 54, 57, 70 & 58 his last 6 scores. Can't see any benefit having him as an F7 backup with those numbers.

Once again, I've backed out of the Billings trade. I will be doing a 3rd trade to enable me to get Austin and do an upgrade as well. Only an omission will see Billings leave my side now.

I decided to punt Jack Higgins instead, who is only 40k less and putting up similar numbers.

Billings has been mentally draining, but confirming his 191k loss with a trade is just as difficult to stomach IMO.

I am now counting down the days until St Kilda's R13 game against Gold Coast.

There is absolutely no benefit trading him now at his value when you've surely got other rookies around the same price ready to be culled.

Billings -> Austin (via Sicily) and build bank to $500k.

Opens up another premium defender spot but will have a few options available.

If he is your only means of getting a particular premium or rookie you want, then I can see merit in trading him. His 317k price tag still gives him an edge over Spargo types sitting around the 240k mark.

Would also trade him before Fritsch & Doedee, who still have money to make before their byes and are putting up good scores.

Guelfi at 270k with an 18 BE should probably be held over Billings this week also.

I told myself I'd hold Billings untill I completed the rest of my team but he is feally testing my patience! Two rookies and Billings left on field now after this week though and Banfield and Guelfi are coming off 80s so might habe to jump off Billings first.

Why are people surprised he got dropped? He’s had zero confidence for a while now. So glad I got rid of him but would have done that 3-4 weeks ago if I didn’t have other issues.
