Cam O'Shea making it impossible for Bolton and myself to not pick him with 49 points from 18% TOG ATM.

61 from 24% TOG. If he can up his game time to 72% he'll average 183 because that is exactly how extra TOG works.
Could probably avg 200 in the mids!

Can anyone who has watched both Carlton games shed some light on Marchbank?

2 solid scores, and although there's next to no chance I would actually pick him, his scores do stand out and I'm just wondering if he might be the unexpected beneficiary of Docherty being out?

flower I love the JLT. People going back and forth on players with every passing quarter, entertaining reading.

Wait til next weeks rumours from praccy matches  :o

Geez im a gutsy enough to start weits.

Came home huge in the last month last year. A big 106 last night. 3rd year breakout like rance possible.

I wont do it but at 350k tempting.

You're gutsy enough, but won't do it? I think that means you're not gutsy enough.

No. Marchbank racked it up last week. Weitering this week. They won't have any consistency from game to game.

Marchbank actually moved onto the wing for parts of the second half and Cuningham went to HB. Docs points and role aren't going to be absorbed by one player.

Byrne/Mullet/O'Shea will have first crack at replacing him as defenders. It looks like we're grooming Cuningham and O'Brien to play off HB and give us some of that ball use.

We're also looking to play more direct footy so we won't be chipping it around the backline as much. The stats are also blown out because the ball was in the Hawks forward line for around 65% of the game.  I think our tall defenders are all going to have a big game at some point due to the zone we play, but again one week it might be Jones, the next Marchbank, the week after Weird and the week after that Plowman.

If I'm taking a flyer on a Carlton defender it's Byrne. Good pace, willing to take it on, great footskills and awesome at ground level. He just struggled overhead and that's his weakness. I think he's priced at 50 odd. He could make the jump to 75-80 in the early rounds and is 220k.

Hawks 90 tackles Blues 52 and Blues win don't see that to often didn't watch the game any explanation for this or just put it down to JLT not the real stuff ?

Marchbank still scored 89 last night with Weits tonning up, which is why I asked because 127 and 89 caught my eye

Hawks failed to kick straight, Carlton did. Skills were atrocious by both teams. So many basic skill errors and dropped chest marks. Hawthorn were also able to lock it inside their 50 for longer periods of the game with their tackling, when Carlton got open in transition they burnt them. It was 15-2 for tackles at one point in the first quarter.

His score is weird, he scored 26 points higher than his DT but it didn't look like he took many intercept marks. 75-80 is probably what he averages on the year. He will be a bit more consistent than last year, but you will have a 90 and 80 followed by a 60 odd to bring the average back down.

Hawthorn dominated nearly every stat but just didn't kick straight at goal

Apart from disposals, contested possessions and hit outs

90 ave not out the question for Marchbank, good enough to keep D5-D6 spot locked.
