Did a couple really nice things especially that lace out pass to Reid at the start of the 3rd but gee whiz the talk of him having no tank seem true. I'm surprised his TOG was 63%, really didn't notice him much out there, by the end of the game Towers was pretty much doing all the ruck work lol

6 hitouts against a 2nd rate ruckman certainly doesn't scream "pick me" they would be better off just having another mid in there and conceding they will lose the hitout

Libba & McLean looking great, reckon Libba is looking like a 100+ player this year.

Josh Thomas suddenly on my radar. Playing a lot more of a contested role in these preseason matches. Don't expect him to be a top 10 forward, but might be a player to get in early in the season if he continues with this role.

Lock Sam Murray in as a defensive rookie (if he wasn't locked already).

Good signs from Naughton but could be better options given he is a bit more expensive than the bargain based rookies.

I don't know. How much should we read into preseason games? Many people say never judge premos in these games( only rookies and roles), others jump onto a player with 2 good jlt showings. I'm somewhere in between.
Sure, positive signs from Libba ( who I would class as a fallen premo) but it is jlt vs the pies. Season proper is a different ball game.
