LOL this happens every single year, and I'm surprised that people continue to fall for this

A proven prem is a proven prem - don't let their preseason scores have any impact on your thoughts

Rookies, players returning from LTI and to a lesser extent positional changes (which even then can only be taken with a grain of salt) is what you should be looking for now, and that's it

Haha so true. I actually prefer it if they play poorly because it makes people get off them and makes them more unique

To be honest I am looking at one of Pendles, Murphy or Sidebottom to fill M4 at the moment. hence a couple of my comments.

But really looking for rookies to start,

jvalles69

Llloyd look keen out there...kicked 3 goals for his 88, but was highly active. 214K forward...

Said in the other thread but if Green and Deledio are fit for round 1 then it's unlikely Lloyd or any of the rookies get a go round 1

106 average (-12 on 2016) from 16 games last season...30 years old...he's just not that good anymore

Pendles Pre-sesaon VS Real season

2008: 35 -> 104
2009: 95 -> 106
2010: 87 -> 111
2011: 107 -> 129
2012: 115 -> 125
2013: 111 -> 127
2014: 112 -> 124
2015: 120 -> 116
2016: DNP in preseason -> 118
2017: DNP in preseason -> 107

With the exception of 2015, Pendles always has quiet preseasons. Fair to say that he doesn't really care about preseason games. I care about the numbers on the right though.

Come on now Jukes you can't be knocking Pendles off based on a pre season game.. he's still one of the premier mids in the game not only just by SC, but talent.

D5-D7 starting to take shape ok. Another 1 or 2 1/2 decent defensive rookie options and we will be looking ok there.

Forward bench rookies hmm......

I put Heater in my side prior to the game tonight to suit my byes better - won't be leaving at this stage.

If I need a cheap mid option to use cash elsewhere than Conigs is my man I think.

I reckon Heater is back to being the general in defence, will upgrade Sicily I think. Worst case scenario is Siciliy kills it and I use a correction trade.

not denying his ability to score, my concern is that his role has changed.
That is what will impact his score

It would have been better if the Pies played better they were poor lets see if JLT 2 shows us any signs things are changing at the Pies if not steering clear of Pendles in my starting line up

LordSneeze

Im hoping he spuds with a 50 or something and everyone jumps off, would be an awesome POD to have,

It might not work, but I feel more confident picking him that everyone else around that price.

On other news does anyone have the Essendon vs Richmond SC scores, for some reason I cant find them

I’m not, I’m knocking him based on his bad 2017. Seems to have been well passed by Adams and Treloar now. Definitely wouldn’t be picking him but I’m sure he’ll be picked on name alone for at least the next 3-4 years much like Ablett.

I dunno. If Whitfield is playing back and Shaw plays wing as the coach suggested will he still be the general,can he average 95 ?
