I'd look at moving Finlayson to the mid bench for the dpp with Coffield.  there seems to be a number of rookie backs that may get early games to replace him with.
Whilst I think Constable will be good, I'm not sure he has much JS in Geelong's midfield - maybe someone could convince me otherwise??
As a Lions man I hope you are right about Cameron, but he didn't look at home in either of the JLT games.  I think there might be better options there for the same or less money - but as said I really hope I'm wrong and hope he wins the Coleman.   :)

As a Geelong fan I can’t see much if any space in the midfield for Constable. Especially with Cocky, Parfitt, Parsons and probably Kelly ahead of him. And we have the small forwards in Gregson and McCarthy returning from injury so plenty of competition for spots.

However, Scott does like playing the young guys, I think we played the most or second most debutants last year. Something like 8 or 10.

Constable did a 2km time trial before the draft and was bottom 10%, nowhere near ready for a full game of AFL. Even if picked I wouldn't go near him.

Agreed with a lot of the comments.

DEFENCE
Laird, Howe, Savage, Naughton, Doedee, Murray (Finlayson, Murphy)

MIDFIELD
Dangerfield, T.Mitchell, J.Kelly, Zorko, Fyfe, Liberatore, Brayshaw, T.Kelly (Banfield, Constable, Holman)

RUCKS
Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)

FORWARDS
Billings, J.Cameron, Walters, D.Smith, B.Fritsch, L.Ryan (J.Garlett, G.Miers)

Constable wouldn't have had as many CB attendances unless he was in consideration early. Looked just about as good as Kelly. If you look at Ollie Wines' first season he only played 70% TOG. That was with the sub rule in place which increase the majority of players TOG% with only 3 interchangeable players on the bench most of the time. It is now well within reason to have a guy who only plays 70-75% TOG. If he lines up rd 1 even if Danger and Ablett are out i'd back him to hold his spot. Has more of a chance than Barry at this stage. Cats have always lacked depth after their front-line mids, has more to give in there than Parsons, Parfitt and probably cocky.

Cameron is Jeremy Cameron (GWS)

Bully

Barry the much wiser choice IMO, both athletically & positionally. Port chose him to fill the Impey void.

You're probably right... really depends on rd1 teams

Money Shot

Really like this team and love that you have managed to get Fyfe at M5 as well as Libba.

Only pick I am not sold on would be Cameron but you have done much better than me in the past so go with your gut.

Will be aiming to sit on this till teams are announced Wednesday night! How cool is that so close now!

Constable v Barry depending on rd1 teams and L.Murphy will replace keefe if he's named as well.
Really pleased with what i've come up with, disappointed that i don't have as many POD's as i'd like but the must haves took precedent as well as value options.

4-5-6 bye set up for premiums which im stoked with

I hope you have plans for Corey Ellis if he isn't named or potentially dropped. He probably plays round 1 but I don't see him as best 22 unless he pulls out some good games given he wasn't in Richmond's best side during finals.

He looks to be the guy who makes way for Bachar Houli when he is back in Richmonds side.

Given the set up of your team you do seem to have options to make changes which I am sure you are fully aware of. Nice side.

100% I'm not willing to start an extra fwd rookie, if Ellis plays well enough he will hold his spot and score pretty handsomely. If not i'll check out the best rookies available. Whether it be a coffield/murphy/mihocek or fogarty/langdon up forward and swing sicily. As you said i have options

Money Shot

That backline is a potential season ender if it doesnt pay off. If for example Ellis and Naughton get dropped and no other rookies are playing what do you do?

Doubt naughton will be not named or dropped until Morris or Adams are ready to return. Which is a while away.

Ellis is definitely in contention, i am worried about him getting dropped though. Backing him to string together some really solid games as someone like him playing really good footy would see Dusty, Cotch and Grigg spend more time up forward which is really dangerous for oppositions. depends on prestia return

If dropped:
Trade to Coffield, Murphy, Mihocek or Stoddart in backline or Swing Sicily to defence and bring in Miers /Fogarty/ G-Langdon if they're looking like regulars.

If not named:
Coniglio --> Brodie
Ellis --> Hibberd

Money Shot

Would consider doing that regardless to be honest. Points stay the same (or close too it) and you get a definite top 6 keeper in the backs as well as a rookie priced player that will score well and make money.

Had a strange start to the year... Scored 2328 ranked 7,000ish overall.
When Libba went down I kind of panicked and went chasing points knowing full well he was going to be traded next week. Traded Danger to Parker . Kreuzer's injury also looks pretty serious too.

Side as fielded was:

Laird, Savage, Bonner, Naughton, Finlayson, Murray (Doedee, Murphy)
Mitchell (C), Kelly, Fyfe, Parker, Coniglio, Libba, Brayshaw, Holman (Kelly, Banfield, Barry)
Kreuzer, Gawn (Olango)
Billings, Cameron, Walters, Smith, Sicily, Fritsch (Garlett, Ryan)

At this stage...
Libba will become Oliver/Cripps if Kreuzer is okay or Danger if kreuzer misses (Downgrade to Nank or Sandi).
Not Ideal using trades early, but i'm happy enough with my squad and my start.

Sort of hoping Kreuzer is out for a couple of weeks.

Ringo

Those trades look fine if required.
