That was and remains for platinum exchanges, where a coach exchanges their bunch of gold cards for a platinum.

I suppose, at the very least, you could keep a few of the bronze/silver cards and sell the rest for another value pack? Certainly no worse off having purchased the pack than without it, the glass half full approach I guess.
