A friendly reminder that 'Golf Week' next week uses your own cards, something to think about before you clear off all of your bronze spuds at the conclusion of Bronze Week this weekend.

There's been a bit of talk as to being lucky and unlucky when it comes to pack pulls, so I'm interested to see what the consensus of the coaches is. So, who is the unluckiest and luckiest UTG coach?

BB67th

I think I've pulled alright. I clearly deserve it after my strong mini game form though.

BB67th packed a Plat and a Gold in a Gold pack...

And Holz packed a double frag in a frag pack

Double frag and a gold.

I prefer my heeney pull though

When using the Captain Card do you get to name a VC incase they are a late out? And if not do you still lose the captain card even though it wasn't technically used despite it having been deployed?

There is no VC, but if your captain pulls out they will be replaced by an emergency and you will keep the Captain Card for a later date.

When there's a late out can a named player move positions (assuming they have DPP) to allow a higher ranked emergency to be subbed in?

Can an emergency cover more than one position if they have DPP or do we have to specify one?

Please answer yes or not to these questions which will clear things up moving forward

Please answer yes or not to these questions which will clear things up moving forward

Example Team:
Laird, Hurley, Yeo
Coniglio, Gibbs, Dangerfield, Macrae
Gawn
Heeney [M/F], Sicily [D/F], Franklin

Emergencies: Tom Doedee (D), Tim Kelly (M), Tim English (R/F), Jack Billings (F)

Example Circumstances:
If Rory Laird is out, Tom Doedee will cover him in the backline.
If Rory Laird and Michael Hurley are out, Tom Doedee will cover Laird but Sicily does not shift to cover Hurley.
If Dangerfield and Tim Kelly are out, Heeney does not shift to the midfield to cover Dangerfield.
If Franklin is out, Tim English will cover him in the forward line.
If Gawn and Franklin are out, Tim English will cover Gawn and Billings will cover Franklin.

So the answers to the questions respectively are no and yes.

Alright so I won’t be naming my DPPs for on field players anymore as they aren’t required. But will continue to do so for the emergencies :)

Remember, our finals seeding for the top four is determined by the number of weeks won, so here's an update!
Head to Head wins are also counted as a weekly win.

LS - 4
Holz - 3
BB - 3
Tom - 3
Pyro - 2
Koop - 2
BM - 2
GL - 2
Nige - 2
Wato - 1
PB - 1
Hawka - 0

LS leads the way with 4 victories, while every other coach (except Hawka :'() has had at least one.
At this stage, LS, Holz, BB and Tom hold the 4 seeded spots, but with a few weeks remaining, including another round of head-to-head, that may change yet.

Nige

Someone who’s good at maths can probably work this out but basically in something like my last 63 cards (might even be more, like 6 or 7 value packs worth), I think the only non-silver or bronze card I’ve received in a pack is a Grundy frag.

Like I said, no idea what the odds of that are, but it feels like absolute shower. Basically everyone is better off now and I’m already so far behind that it feels like there’s no catching up, even with however many rounds and this new finals system to come.

Very little joy or interest right now since it feels like the rich get richer and the only thing maybe helping out is the incompetence of some coaches to format their team properly or get on and post a team because they’re so busy on a weekly basis (which I think is the only reason I got 50g last week for example).

There's a compiled list of all value packs from this season. I've sorted by Resale value however there's obviously other methods to show who has the best and worst pack luck (e.g. average Bronze per pack).

This might be a better table actually. The top line shows what we are told the going rates are for each card type. Below that we can see the % of cards that we have each packed, and the bottom line shows the % of cards packed in all of our value packs put together :)
