Trying to leave my team alone but just keep fiddling with it. I need some guidance to leave it alone or what changes it's yelling out for.

BACKS
Laird, Hibberd, Hanley, Birchall, O'Shea, Richards - Keefe, Doodle
MIDS
Danger, Martin, T.Mitchell, Zorko, Cripps, LDU, Brodie,  J.Trengrove - J. Higgins, Worpel, Garlett
RUCKS
Gawn, Nicnat - Cameron
FWDS
Heeney,  Billings, Lobb, Christianson, B. Ah Chee, Fogarty - Venables, Ahern

I keep putting in and out Withers & Beams.

Obviously a lion through and through and think Robinson is quite underpriced for the size of his heart. McLuggage keeps catching my eye also along with Jack Frost (rookie priced now) and Bell should have someting to prove this year or retire! Rayner expensive but Dawson may replace Venables (pending JLT)
Obviously keeping an eye on Nicnat (Martin?)

Any help would be appreciated.

Money Shot

My main concern is Nic Nat who I would change to Jacobs. Surely Martin would have to worry about Smith and too a lesser extent McInerey as they try and get games into there rucks of the future.

apart from that I like the team.

Witherden is not proven and would rather get someone like Lloyd or Simpson.

Beams is a really good pick, would take him over ZORKOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Robinson seems to play the tagging role which effects his scores

would rather a rookie over Frost

McCluggage is a good a chance as any to break out and could be a good pick.

Bell won't be a prolific scorer and is too expensive to be used as a cash cow.

Ringo

Nice Team to sit.
Nice summary from Money Shot. Tagging role that Robbo has effects his scores. SC should reward taggers haha.
Can not really see Frost making an impact Payne and Eagles would be ahead of him so watch.

Withers is awkwardly priced but could break out but will he suffer 2nd year syndrome or teams put some work into him given the drive he gives us.  Bags is the interesting one and has as good chance as any one breaking out. But for me prefer not to pick too many mid range players as have been burnt.

Only concern I have is Hanley at D3 really prefer him at D4 especially with the Rd 10 bye.

So maybe Zorko to Beams and use cash to upgrade Birchall to a premo or alternately just wait till we know which rookies are playing and then play around. Birchall struggling to be ready for Rd 1 from some reports.

Would not consider Stef for rucks (even though a true blue Lions supporter) unless we had certainty that he would be sole ruck. Both him and Arch played on the same team in the intra club trial.  Suspect also we may also try and get games into McInerney.

Bully

I think you need Bonar & Doodle together on the bench.

Thanks guys - sometimes it is hard to put aside loyalties.  Martin has been good for me for a few years now ????

OK Doodle was a bloody spell check thing I missed, but who is Bonar?   :o

I understand the tagging thing with Robo, but often the tagger scores well as the person being tagged keeps taking them to the ball.  Some players over the years tagging great ball getters like GAJ/Danger/Jellwood/etc have played the games of their lives.  If he is the Lions #1 tagger then he gets taken to the ball by the best opposition player each week.  I'll watch JLT to see what they have planned for him - maybe 'the beast' will get the tagging roles?

A bit surprized no-one has comments on Trengrove.  Is this because it is a really good pick or a really bad one?   :-\

I'll do some pondering about Birchall.  If he's not there for Rd1 then he's gone.

Just read that Billings is injured and will miss all the JLT series so may have to shuffle the fwd line around also. Seems the biggest risk for afl players is the number of teams in which they are picked. I bet melbourne  have Gawn wrapped in cotton wool.

Bonar was a first rounder who went to GWS, big lad in that Cripps mould. If he wasn't playing in such a strong team I'd be tempted.

ubeaut

Just on the Robbo tagging thing, some taggers manage to score well like Scooter Selwood,Carrazzo and some don't like Ling and Crowley.
How can u be sure Robbo falls in the former category?
In fact if u go back over the good taggers in the past most score poorly and it takes a special player to tag and accumulate at the same time.

Some changes have been made following news of Billings injury

BACKS
Laird, Hibberd, Roberton, Birchall, O'Shea, Richards - Cumming, Doodle

RUCKS
Gawn, McEvoy - Cameron
FWDS
Heeney,  McLean, Lobb, Christianson, B. Ah Chee, Fogarty - Venables, Ahern

Moved out NicNat as even if he is ready for R1 - I am not confident he will play more than about 16 games.  Just a feeling.

If Birchall is not ready then he can become a playing rookie or Roberton and Birchall can become Hanley & Brayshaw?

How does this team look now?

Money Shot

cookie cutter structure but some nice pods. Can't fault it really.

However, Billings injury is very minor and he is still going to be fit for JLT games, will just depend on whether the sainters want to play him.

Bully

Billings has a grade 1 strain, 2 weeks only. Can still do certain drills but not run full tilt. I just put him in.

maygs

Thanks guys.  I'm going to do my best to sit on this one until JLT.

I'll keep an eye on Billing as I want him in my team - and Hanley but can't get them all just yet.

Gday, I'm pretty clueless with supercoach so thought I'd get some thoughts on my team at the moment.

Def: Laird, Hibberd, Simpson, Mills, Birchall, O' Shea (Hayball, A Johnson)

Mid: Danger, Dusty, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, O' Meara, LDU, Wigg (Kelly, Edwards, Holman)

Ruck: Gawn, Nic Nat (Lavender)

Fwd: Heeney, Barlow, Petracca, Deledio, Rayner, Higgins (Narrier, Brown)

Obviously gone basement price with the bench to squeeze a bit more cash out of them. Bit concerned about the mid prices, as they so often let you down, so yeah. Any thoughts?

I'd recommend you start a separate thread for feedback.

Well I knew I couldn't leave it alone.

BACKS

RUCKS
Gawn, Nicnat  - Cameron

FWDS

I've heard the Cummings is injured but don't know if it is going to affect r1 yet.
The extra money in the bank will be helpful if any of the mid prices don't perform (insurance)
Possibly  a bit to deep in backs and shallow in MIDS?
