I watched the intraclub game (see my full write up on the Essendon board) and Stringer genuinely was probably tied for BOG with Dev Smith. Like obviously you have to take into account it wouldn't have been as good of competition as a real game or even a JLT game, but his skills were top notch and his role seems pretty good for fantasy - both playing in the guts as well as his forward role. Screams of Dusty.

I'm not going to go out and guarantee a 110 average or whatever Dusty does, but I'm confident Stringer will really lift his game and, therefore, fantasy averages and generate a lot of cash - and maybe even be a keeper. He has huge upside, but obviously comes with risks (such as his career averages being underwhelming - 47, 69, 78, 75, 65 in SC). I don't have him in my side atm but a couple more good indicators and he's probably going to be in. 90+ is definitely not out of the question.

But on the other hand, I always want Devon Smith and Parish just as bad for their great seasons to come :X

If Stringer gets his average up to 90+ over 6-7 rounds I'll have a look but he's pretty risky to start with.

He sure is the embodiment of risk, and I'm probably not going to start him to hedge my bets (if he does good then it's good for the dons!) - as opposed to my boy Dev Smith who I know is going to gun it so I'm locking him in anyway ;D

Love you Levi xoxo

I love you more GL  :-* Almost as much as I love Jakey Stringer!

Listen to Jukes as well lads. He actually knows his stuff.

Awesome writeup Levi,

As some others have said you pick Stringer as a premium, he won't make enough cash to be a cash cow or solid stepping stone. You only pick him if you are thinking he will go 90+ and even then you want to minimise the other risky picks if you do that.

Love the intra-club analysis.

Uploaded this one today for anyone interested. Cheers, Shorty.

Of dear, 20% of coaches will be slightly nervous.

Looks completely out of place in the middle. I'd rather pick Lumumba again.

I'm bitterly disappointed that Stringer flopped today, now all the coaches on board will jump off! Would've been much more entertaining to see back to back tons in JLT and then a pack of 40s from Round One onwards  >:(

AaronKirk

Anyone considering starting him should keep in in their sides.

Just eliminates a huge chunk of the competition competing for the 50k

meow meow

Schache would probably be a better midfielder.

I'll resurrect this thread for all the bandwagon jumpers.

Haha he probably won't even get 80 from here.

Thanks for the reminder, I almost forgot. Back in my team!
