I'm gonna bank on the little master to come out with 8 -10 monsters in a row and I think $700K plus is not outta the question. Then if need be I will turn a profit with him, if he gets injured. I can down grade him to anyone and all it will cost is 1 trade. I usually blow six or more trades doing correctionals. There's an element of risk with anyone on your team, they all can get injured, but they all can't churn out monsters like the GOAT.

So im guessing your calling for Danger to drop substantially.

Nup, Dusty usually fluffs around in the early games before exploding. There's others aswell like Jelwood.

Didn't he get an 150 odd in the season opener last year?

Dusty plays for the wrong team, and Jelwood still hits the ton when fluffing. I was getting at the point of your not gonna get 2 monsters in one team who both back it up week after week.

Sorry bud thought you were talking $ not points. I see no reason Gaz can't ave. 120plus in the same team as Danger, he'll get far less attention than he got at the Suns, where he hasn't gone under 114 ave in the past 11 seasons. He could get injured round 1, but so can Danger.

I don't think it's worthwhile thinking too hard about Gazza.

Guys that can score 200+ on a whim are...... rare to say the least.  He can make up a week off entirely if he has the C on him when he goes big (and is a POD).

He has more potential scenarios for how his season goes than probably any other player in the league.  The best case scenarios are as good as any player and make your season.

Gaz is back at Geelong and will have motivation to do well given his history at the club.

He didn't have the same motivation last year at the suns given he basically knew he was leaving and had a number of personal well-publicized issues in his family.

Now he is back it seems to me he just wants to play football and will give it 100% physically and mentally which you can easily see he didn't last year.

In terms of role you can see that the cats need more forward options for Hawkins. Patrick Dangerfield kicked 45 goals last year and the Cats played their best finals football when he played more up forward and others had to stand up in the mids.

It is a safe assumption that Danger would spend more time forward. You could easily put forward an argument that Ablett would spend more time in the mids than Danger. If Ablett stays fit he will very likely average close to 110.

Would have have missed as many games with minor niggles in 2017 if he was wearing the hoops? Definitely not.

While he is not in my side at the moment that could very well change prior to round 1

All this talk of Danger spending more time FWD because Gaz is back well Danger kicked 38.25 last year seems he is spending a fair bit of time FWD already and averaged 136 doing so his role won't change he is devastating where ever he plays.

Danger kicked 45.32 last year.

To potentially totally contradict my comments above apparently Ablett suffered from hamstring tightness in the Cats intra-club and the cats apparently will be very cautious with him.
