I can't afford another 600K+ player but don't be surprised if Gaz lights it up at the start of the season when he is fit he has been one of the best scorers ever in SC and don't see that changing , he is a gamble that could well and truly pay off

Nige

It's really just up to the individual on how many games they think he'll play and if they're prepared to cop him likely missing a game or two. That said, I think they'll look after him enough now that he's back home.

Scoring ability can't be doubted, still one of the best. That's not going to change.

For that reason, he's still absolutely in contention for my side. Don't have him right now but it's I reckon if you weigh up the risk vs reward then it's definitely a risk worth taking.

I'm leaning towards starting him

Maybe it's the nostalgia

Maybe it's the fact his back at home

Maybe it's the fact he's done a full preseason and by all reports is in ripping condition

Maybe it's the fact he'll likely be a POD

Maybe it's the fact I haven' had him for more than 12 month and miss him

The great man might be well worth taking a shot on and using a trade on if need be

Maybe it's because he is a freak but the being home factor and the Cats are real contenders sort of has me thinking

You guys are craaaazy.

I get that he's the GOAT and he will score well no doubt but surely no one actually thinks he will play a full season?
He's going to miss atleast 3 games from being rested and that's not including IF he gets injured

_wato

Why crazy? He'll be fresh at the start of the year, pump out massive scores get injured and you jump off. Not that hard to understand right??

Don’t wake up the idiots ... anyone that questions a bloke who has never gone below 2014-2015 must have no idea .... let’s see what happens in the JLT ... % going to spike

Sounds like a plan. HOWEVER as I've said before it might not be that simple.4+ week injury after playing half a season pumping out 120+ I'll take that. BUT
Getting rested/having niggles for a week or two here and there BAD.
IF he gets injured longer term it could work. IF he gets rested instead it won't.
I'm still tempted tho FWIW.

So you're forecasting a trade on a guy that costs 631k?
Too bad if the inevitable injury comes in the first quarter of a game.
Why not just get another premium that doesn't have a horrendous recent injury history and isnt 34 years old?

Questioning a guy that's 34 and has missed, 8 games, 8 games, 16 games and 9 games in the last 4 years

Jukes

It's the same as 2015, 2016, and 2017. You start with him and you deserve to be burned.

I'm gonna bank on the little master to come out with 8 -10 monsters in a row and I think $700K plus is not outta the question. Then if need be I will turn a profit with him, if he gets injured. I can down grade him to anyone and all it will cost is 1 trade. I usually blow six or more trades doing correctionals. There's an element of risk with anyone on your team, they all can get injured, but they all can't churn out monsters like the GOAT.

So im guessing your calling for Danger to drop substantially.

Rowy

I just don't trust his body to last the full season and won't pay $631k for a player to be traded. So will probably pick Duncan as a POD.
