Hanners is injured currently mate, may not get up for Rd. 1.

Interesting to see a side with Birchall and Brayshaw, bit too much risk for my liking.

What are your thoughts on Longer? I don't see him as a top 5 ruck imo.

I concur re: Longer, he's a bad selection.  Won't score well enough, won't make money either

Would try and turn your least favourite of Birchall and Brayshaw into a keeper. Too much risk taking both of it.

Midfield is good but get rid of Hanners, he is injured currently.

Longer I don't mind as a pick finished last year averaging 90 or so and is in that age bracket that he could take it too the next level. Would prefer Jacobs though or even Big Boy McEvoy if you want a risk (look at his last 6 games of the season).

Forward line is good as well but don't trust Cyril and prefer Bundy who is cheaper.

Hope this helps :)

enzedder

Concur with the thoughts above about Longer, Hanners and Cyril. Don't.

RaisyDaisy

Pretty sure I read Longer isn't even training with the main group still, and as of right now Hickey would start because of that

Backline is too weak as well

Upgrade one of Brayshaw/Birch to a prem and do the same for Longer

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Here is how my team is looking with a couple of changes. I’m trying to keep it as unique as possible. Currently 7 possible prems under 10% ownership (Hanley 9.5%, Pendles 8.6%, Jacobs 6.4%, Mills 4.8%, Barlow 3.3%, Steven 2.3%, Neale 1.9%)

Anyway here is how I’m currently sitting. Let me know your thoughts

Backs: Laird, Hanley, Mills, Birchall, O’Brien, Doedee (Murray, Mirra)
Mids: Mitchell, Neale, Fyfe, Pendles, Steven, Coniglio , Davies-Uniacke, Worpel (Holman, Kelly, Barry)
Rucks: Gawn, Jacobs (Cameron)
Fwds: Heeney, Gray, Barlow, Petracca, Christensen, Stephenson (Higgins,Ahern)

Interesting team. Definitely different. Love the Pendles and Neale picks. Not sure about Steven though, heaps of better options that would still be unique.
Hanley/Barlow firmly on my radar too, but hard to pick one as the better pick and they share that pesky round 10 bye along with Gray. Maybe better to go with one or two at most, three is almost guaranteed to cause a large drop in rankings.
Structure wise a little heavy in fwds. I'd drop  Bundy or Petracca and upgrade Steven.
Otherwise great POD team.

I picked Mills last year as my breakout contender and he went backwards. I wouldn't go there again. Maybe McGrath in his place, is what I would do.

cortez

Thanks guys, in fairness to Mills it was only his second year last year and did get a donut that didn’t help his average. McGrath is hitting his second year too so I’d be careful with him.

I do see where you’re coming from with Steven, what are your thoughts of downgrading Birchall instead of Petracca or Bundy? My thinking is yes it will leave my backs a bit thin but the backline does have the lowest averaging prems.

SilverLion

Don't mind Steven as a pick, Saints #1 mid, don't see why he can't average 105+

Money Shot

Agree with most of the above comments regarding Steven, think he is a risky pick and there are better options around his price who would still be pods.

In saying that I love the Neale pick as he is a really good chance at finishing a top 10 mid and if he comes out firing you could get a 1 up on rest of the comp

Thanks for everyone’s input so far. I’m think I’m happy with where I’m at atm. Let me know your thoughts. I personally can’t fault but I’m a bit one sided haha

Backs: Yeo, Laird, Hibberd, Howe, Coffield, Doedee (Murray, Mirra)
Mids: Danger, Dusty, Mitchell, M. Crouch, Fyfe, Brayshaw, Dow, LDU (Holman, Kelly, Barry)
Rucks: Gawn, Z.Smith (Cameron)
Fwds: Heeney, D.Smith, Christensen, Rayner, Stephenson, Ahern (Fritsch, Ryan)

fanTCfool

Surprised you can't fault it, great side apart from one dodgy pick, and I think you'd know who it is.
How much left over cash do you have?

I've seen alot of teams with little or no expensive rookies that may have to be restructured come round one.
You have 6 which gives u great flexibility to downgrade a few and strengthen your team.
6 may be overdoing it and I think one of the keys to building a starting side is to get that balance of the best expensive/cheaper rookies right.
The only weakness in your team is fwds with Bundy at F3. If the reports of Rayners lack of a tank are correct I see him playing too much fwd in a bottom team to be worth the coin.
If u could somehow tinker and get a Premium instead of Rayner your team would look much more balanced.

Howe could be a great POD with 4% ownership is he over preseason injury?

Also what is your thinking with Z.Smith?
On one hand he'll have the best midfield at his feet. On the other there's alot of points to go around with Selwood,Danger,GAJ,Duncan,Menegola and Touhy. Hard to see him cracking 100 is 95 enough? Also has round 14 bye.
