Howdy Woppa,  pretty good team for first up, don't know if you've heard the talk of NicNat not being able to participate in match simulation drill, he seems like a much certain prospect that we all thought a few weeks back. I'd swap him out for someone with less doubt such as Jacobs, particularly given there seem to be no rookie ruck players who are likely to be able to cover NicNat's donuts if/when they occur.

ubeaut

Nice team. Like the Sloane pick as a potential pod. Tag can hurt him but has huge games as well.
Strong fwds and backs. You have 4 expensive rookies however and I'd look at downgrading one or two, Rayner in particular as will be played fwd till he can improve his tank. It looks like there will be a few cheap fwd rookies to choose from.Use cash to get another prem mid as that is your weakest line.

+1

Also agree with DCAK on the NicNat concern, looking at alternatives myself.

Ringo

Nice Team - Agree with comment if cheaper rookies start upgrade to make team stronger. (Ubeaut comments on Rayner spot on as well) Watch Rd 14 bye which will be a killer for most of us as currently you have 6 of your prems (7 if JK is a keeper) out.

Obviously the concern with Nic Nat still not training fully and may not even play in JLT.

Money Shot

Would love your thoughts on J Kolasjashnijfdkjnfew as I just assumed he was destined to be a 60-70 average player for his super coach life however I have not looked into him one bit so I would love your insight.

As others have said my only concern is Nic Nat and even if he does line up round 1 I still would be wary of picking him, Jacobs/Gawn looks like the safest option.

Good too see you have so many expensive rookies, I wish I had them in my team haha.

best of luck mate.

Woppa15

Cheers all, greatly appreciated!

Re Nic Nat: am aware of his issues. Will probably swap him for one of the following: Sauce-has the track record and solo ruck. Grundy-seems to be trending upwards, concern over Cox impact. Or Smith as a POD, if he could continue on from last year I would be pretty stoked.

Re rookies: happy to sit with the expensive rookies at this stage as place holders, allows a bit of flexibility after JLT and teams named.

Re J Kolo: not quite sure, seems more of one of those gut feels. Had career best everything’s in 2017. Was also moved onto the wing into that Andrew Mackie style position of an attacking half back. Having career best pre season and with Lonergan and Mackie gone just see there being a lot more opportunity and responsibility for someone like JK to take on his shoulders.

So I’ve made a few minor tweaks.
- J Kolo - Birchall
- Nic Nat - Smith
- Rayner - Holman via Stephenson DPP to Fwds.

Def:
Yeo. Laird. Hibberd. Birchall. O’Shea. Richards. (Doedee. Johnson.)

Mid:
Danger. Titch. Sloane. Fyfe. Cripps. Brodie. Kelly. Worpel. (LDU. Barry. Holman.)

Ruck:
Gawn. Smith. (Olango.)

Fwd:
Heeney. Billing’s. McLean. Bundy. Stephenson. Higgins. (Venables. Garlett.)

$118k remaining.

Possibility of upping Smith to Grundy.

Side looks immediately better. Minor concern on Birchall being ready for Rd. 1, but if he doesn't you've easily got the funds to find someone else.

Why would you pick Z. Smith @ R2 for $501,800? Was it the 72, 37, 79, 64, 44 that she scored last year that you find enticing? Ewwwwww

Better option than NicNat currently ;)

That doesn't make him a good option

Money Shot

I had Zac Smith in my team as a pod as he killed the end of last year but looking further into it if and when Stanley plays he wont score well. I have folded and went for Jacobs but if you want a pod look at McEvoy or Longer. McEvoy killed the end of last season and looks like being the lone ruck and Longer is cheap enough that if he scores a 90 average (which I think is possible) he can make money and then you can trade too whoever looks like the top ruck.

Birchall is in a fight for round 1 but if he lines up he will be hard to ignore.

Apart from that I like your team and love the fact you have that much extra money.

So I couldn’t resist making a few changes.
Minimal cash in the bank with only $4.2k.

Def:
Laird. Hibberd. Simpson. A Kennedy. Richards. T Murphy. (Doedee. Johnson.)

Danger. Titch. Ablett. Fyfe. Cripps. Brodie. Kelly. Worpel. (LDU. Barry. Holman.)

Ruck:
Gawn. Grundy. (Olango.)

Fwd:

No wonder you've run out of money.  All your lines seem to run impossibly deep.  I see about 14 or 15 keepers!  That's amazing.
