Good team first up - Monitor Birchall though.

Strong Mids at the expense of other lines but could pay off, Christensen at F3 is the main risk for me. Would prefer him at F4.

Trust you have a plan B if all rookies do not start though,

Hawker_08

Thanks mate.

If rookies don't start I'll probs look at Titch > Mid Rookie, Fritsch > Greene which will give me a bit of cash to readjust.

Money Shot

Whether or not you can afford this I don't know but:

Titch > Brodie
Fritsch > Greene

Is exactly what I would do as it evens out other lines as well as getting a really good rookie priced player in.

Totally get it. But the way I see it is that it is 120 + 60 vs 75 + 95
More points and better cash geno. Thoughts?

I would bet my hard earned that Titch doesn't hit 120 this year, 110 more realistic.

Any particular reason? Could also be any mid prem (liking M Crouch out of the others)

It's so rare to back up those numbers & the price paid means people will get him cheaper. I still believe Mitchell will start seeing more attention, Crouch would be a better bet because you're paying a reasonable price. Dusty won't win the Brownlow every year either so he's another I'd steer clear of. For me I'd be looking at the discounted guns like Fyfe, Bont & Jelwood. Just on the latter, there's a concussion game which has dragged his average down 5 points, he also seemed to struggle on return. By my reckoning there's still some petrol in the tank to get that average up to 110 in 2018.

More attention?

The bloke was their only mid last year, and when sides tried to lock him down they failed, or they didn't bother at all as his 40+ posies didn't seem to be equating to Hawthorn winning.

With JOM potentially playing I could only see his output increasing. Unless he loses that desire to hunt the ball that gave him the record for most possies in a season.

Have heard that every year with various players, the only ones who have done it on a regular basis have been Gaz, Danger & Pendles. Would be happy to have a wager that his average goes down & not up.

Money Shot

Even if his average does go down to a 110-115 surely you would still take that though???

Danger, Dusty and Mitchell's average will all probably go down but in saying that they should all still go 110+ and be top in the top 5-6 mids come seasons end.

Fyfe, Bont & Selwood will all go up, so for me it comes down to sourcing the best value.

NicNat would seem like an unwise choice given the recent murmurs about zero match simulation practice
