Savage backed up his 145 with a 110 tonight. Seriously seriously tempted.
Had him locked in since day 1

I'd prefer if you didn't.

It's great to have a guy like Savage basically identical in price to Witherden in case I chicken out ;)

What happened to not judging premos in preseason games? Is Savage a Premium anyway?
Personally I don't go for these "rules" in SC to the letter. I mean if a premo looks unfit or is playing an SC unfriendly role u should judge them. If he scores better/worse than usual in the same role maybe not judge? Savage falls into the later category and doesn't mean he's a lock for 100 avg. He could score 85 avg in the season proper and be that annoying not good enough for premo but too good to trade.
Have to take into account opposition too

Have a look at his last 8 weeks last year mate, this is no flash in the pan. I’ve been watching him for awhile.

Hector Sava'ge will most likely be a bit of a roller-coaster

Can definitely pump out big scores, but will put in some stinkers too

What are people's thoughts on Dunkley as a smokey?

Got a gut feeling the bloke is set for a big year.

Edit: Just drew up a hypothetical Doggies Best 22. Dogs fans, do you think your side would ideally look something like this?

B Dale Roughead Cordy
HB Suckling Adams Wood
C Hunter Bontempelli Macrae
HF Dahlhaus Boyd Dickson
F Picken Schache McLean
R Trengove Dunkley Liberatore
I/C Wallis Biggs Johannisen Daniel

Depth: Young, C. Smith, Campbell, Crozier, Roberts, Webb, Richards, Honeychurch, Gowers, Lipinski, Porter, Greene, Collins, Naughton, Williams, Lynch, R. Smith, Morris (Injured, otherwise best 22 of course), Redpath, English, Jong

I would almost argue that Hunter may not be Best 22... Bit of a downhill skier imo. Of the depth players, I reckon Crozier gets first crack. Johannisen to Wing, Crozier to Bench imo.
Really? I would've thought Hunter would be a lock in the best 22. Interesting. Yeah I figure Crozier would be in there somewhere, wasn't sure where.

Still tho, re: Dunkley, we all think he's best 22 and has a chance of a breakout year?

Just my opinion on Hunter- never really rated him.

Dunkley almost gets into best 22 off the coat tails of his 2016 finals series still. :-)

Breakout? I reckon it'll be closer to an 70-80 avg.

I certainly cant see Hunter not being best 22. Sure he can be inconsistent as all outside players are, but when he has his big games possession wise, plus hitting the scoreboard I cant see him playing VFL.

meow meow

Surely you haven't stuck Bailey Dale in the back pocket!

Hunter is best 22, no question.

Dunkley is a great overhead mark and as a result he's destined to spend plenty of time forward.

Crozier starts on the ground.

We won't play all of Roughead, Trengove, Boyd and Schache in the same team.

Plenty of depth if a guy like Hunter is being debated as best 22 or not; the resurgence will be happening.

Naming players in positions is almost redundant for our 22. Does Wood play back or forward? What about JJ? What about Adams? What about Suckling? What about Cordy? Who rucks? Who are forwards and who are midfielders out of Dahl, McLean, Bont, Dale, Wallis, Dunkley, Daniel and Jong?

bartsy

Why no talk of Mitch Wallis this year. Is he injured or out of favour? Great scoring potential if he can capture his best form and doesn’t get cast in a defensive role.

Colley Dogs

Luke Parker.

I’ve had four midfield premiums locked into my team all pre-season: Dangerfield; Mitchell; Fyfe; Cripps. For my fifth, I’ve been alternating between Martin & Kelly. But D4 is causing me a massive headache; by downgrading Martin/Kelly to Parker, I not only get one of my favourite players as a POD, but I’m able to work Sicily into D4.

Is Parker a valid POD this year?

Dunkley at F3/4 looking promising...
