Just gonna post this to see the general response.

If anyone could help with the first years/rookie priced players. I only really picked them on %owned.

$8k left over.

Def: Hurley, Laird, Lloyd, Mcgrath, Birchall, Doedee    Keefe/Murray

Mid: Dangerfield, Kelly, Merrett, Bont, Coniglio, LDU, Higgins, Ahern       Garlett/Kelly/Worpell

Ruck: Gawn, Nic Nat     Cameron

Forward: Heeney, Gray, Walters, Lobb, Rayner, W.Rioli      L.Ryan/Narrier

Just going to take everything thats given on board and see where to go from there.

Rookies are probably anyone's guess at the moment. Seems a little light on the mids, if you're going for PODs then you've achieved that. Nic Nat is a concern.

As said previously midfield is a little weak compared to most on here but it has allowed you to bolster your other lines so I am not completely against it.

That's a pretty good start.

No real criticisms, more advice to be given-

Birchall is a week by week prospect atm. If you have the cash, maybe bring in Brayshaw @ $316k?
Gray's role in the side is very unclear with the acquistions of Rockliff and Motlop, so he would be one to potentially bring in after his bye- which is another reason not to start him imo. You could swap him to someone like Billings or Dahlhaus for a similar price?

Rookies are fine. All other premos are fine, although I would try to bring in Fyfe somehow. Only other possible issue is the scoring potential of McGrath. I'm not convinved he will avg much over 80 even with more mid time.

To sum up what changes I'd make:

McGrath -> Ed Richards
Birchall -> Brayshaw
Coniglio -> Fyfe
Gray -> Billings

On a good note- love the Walters pick.

Re: rookies your guess is as good as anyone's at this juncture!

So this is now my team after JLT and won't be changed until round 1 teams come out.

Def: Hurley, Hibberd, Sicily, Coffield, Naughton, Doedee  (Murray, Finlayson)

Mid: Martin, Mitchell, Kelly, Merrett, Fyfe, Cripps, Brayshaw (Fre) Banfield  (Dow, Kelly, Holman)

Ruck: Ryder, Gawn (Cameron)

Fwd: Walters, Smith, Petracca, Christenson, Fogerty, Fritsch  (Ahern, Ryan)

Foward line is weak, i know. But the value is there. I don't trust Heeney, i've had trust issues with him in the past, also haven't heard any superlatives about Lobb.

Any advice will be helpful :)

Really like this team as it is super strong in every line with F1-F3 as good a chance as any to average 90+

Hibberd, Hurley, Kelly, Merrett, Gawn, Smith, Petracca and Christnesen all have the round 13 bye so just be careful when upgrading to try and avoid trading in round 13 players.

Concern with Ryder and Rd 10 bye if Cameron not playing. Need to factor that possibility in to avoid donut.  Also is Sicily strong enough for D3 would preffer him at D4 or F4 but your decision.

Agree with Money on Rd 13 byes so need to watch.

My thoughts with Sicily is that if I can already have 6 premium players in the midfield, then I can afford to have him in at D3

I can't afford Kreuzer in the rucks, is it worth getting rid of Ryder for Martin, Jacobs or even Goldstein?

All 3 of those options to replace Ryder have merit but IMO Goldy is the one i'd go with. He looked very good in the 1/2 of football I saw him play in JLT 2. From comments since it is unlikely NM will play both Goldy and Preuss.

He has the same bye as Gawn which could be considered a negative but his ownership percentage is only 4.7%

This but i wouldn't be totally convinced on him. Only averaged 101 without preuss. Feel like 105 might be his limit. I'd be backing kreuzer to go similar if not better...

Goldy carried injuries basically all season last year. Reckon an improvement to 105-110 is attainable. Kreuz rolled his ankle v Hawthorn in JLT 2. Should be right for Round 1 but not a certainty.

Ended up having enough money to go from Ryder to Kreuzer.

I think my team is pretty much set barring round one selections. Thanks for your advice :)
