Any interest out there for Ellis?

Averaged 100 from Rd. 10 onwards last year, and hasn't missed a game in 4 seasons, and only 3 since debut.

I wont be starting him, mainly because of the R14 bye, but he does look like a great pick.
Also appears to be a very good POD.
SC ownership is currently at a low 2.1%... 23rd most popular defensive premium priced over 400k.

More sides have Docherty in them currently hah ;D

GoLions

Always preferred him in DT/AF, but he could definitely be a decent option

Huttabito

Any other bye round and I'd probably take the punt but really trying to steer clear of Rd14 other than the must haves.

LordSneeze

Massive no for me.

Historically scored relatively close to his DT in SC, last year was a +7 point variance.
Only 6 games over 100 in the year & 8 under 80. Shows a high variance.
Only averaged 92 from round 15 onwards (See I can pick random periods too).
Finals only averaged 57
Played some lockdown roles that impacted scoring.
Likely priced around what he will average, don't see the big push into the top premium level.

quinny88

Averages of 97, 100, 85, 91 in the last 4 years.
played 22 games each of those years, 24 years old (entering his prime)
Stand out in pre season. Just won the time trial (I believe for the first time)

In saying all that I'm not starting him lol. Just prefer Hurley, Laird, Hibberd and happy to wait and see who the next best defenders are

RaisyDaisy

Including finals he had 11 games under 80

Durable as hell, and I like him, but will be a bit of a roller coaster so it's a no for me

Brandon Ellis is someone who I am surprised about being a pod. He is heading into his prime and is a capable 100+ scorer. In saying that I would rather spend a little more money and get a Hurley, Laird or Hibberd type who have been more reliable over the years.

His finals campaign is a bit concerning but Yeo's wasnt much better if you are basing your selections on finals campaigns.

Although I'm not big on thinking too much about the byes early on, I'll admit that I'm a little more conscious of it this year purely because of how many players in my team are from the same bye. I've got Brando right now, but the more I think about it, I might have to look at him as an upgrade target after his bye.

Yeh 14 is actually a killer.
Danger, Dusty, GAJ, MCrouch, Sloane, Neale, Fyfe, JPK, Jelwood, Menegola, Laird, Parker, Buddy, Heeney, Hanners, Jacobs, Houli, Billings, Ellis, ZSmith

Might just sacrifice RD14 and tank it haha

It's a little terrifying when all but three of these guys have been in my team at least once.

It's forced me to look at alternatives from the other two bye rounds (not counting Port/GC because Barlow's the only 'premo' from these I've looked at). The Round 12 bye is a bit kinder with only 4 teams on bye, but the options there aren't great, especially for premo defenders.

Money Shot

Danger, Fyfe, Dusty, Crouch, Ablett, Sloane, Selwood, Neale, JPK could all be top 10 at the end of the season.

Menegola, Buddy, Heeney, Billings could be top 6

Jacobs in the ruck is looking like a lock

Laird is a lock and Ellis and Houli could be top 10 comfortably as well.

I reckon we need to petition to SuperCoach for a general bye round Rd14.
