Looking good Bully but I would agree with tkringle in that two forward rookies is just too risky

As much as we want to load up in the mids, I think Bundy at F5 is a must

Stephenson certainly isn't a lock to play every week, and Garlett didn't even get named for JLT2 so that's another rookie we're down

West Coast is going to be our best bet for forward rookies with Venables, Rioli, Ryan and Waterman all a chance but I wouldn't want to field any of them, so that leaves Fritsch at F6

I'm now looking at fielding two rookies in the mids because I think Kelly and Holman might be safe enough to field each week, and something else I am also looking to do which I haven't seen anyone else do is play Coffield in the mids (M8/9) which means we can swap Coffield and Finlayson around and I think that DPP could come in handy especially early on

I think one of Beams or Bont needs make way to bring in another forward

I’m running 2 rookie fwds and not even remotely worried about it

What two are you fielding? And what two on the bench?

Gavdroid

I would guess 4 of Stephenson, Fogarty, Fritsch, Ryan, Garlett

Doesn’t matter now ... with danger out most likely there is no point running 2 rookies on field up fwd. Christo back to f5

With no Danger this is how I'm thinking of lining up, definitely more expensive rookies but I think we can rule out most of the ultra cheapies. My big POD lies at F4 & I suspect his 3% ownership will remain the same given there's been no JLT exposure. First hit out went well in the NEAFL & is a certain round 1 starter. Have plumped for O'Meara in the end as I think he's got a bigger mortgage on midfield minutes.

I’ll be stoked if lobb rolls out round 1.

Same structure as mine

Nice Team -  Only real comment and trust you are aware the number of Rd 13 bye players you have just to be aware when upgrading.

Lobb on my watch list as well.

The rucks the only real concern. Still have -

Laird, Sicily    (Simmo upgrade target)
Mitchell, Fyfe, Bont, Libba (Dusty & Danger upgrades)
Billings, Walters (Heeney & Buddy upgrades)

13 keepers & will probably have Gray or Boak for good measure.

Really, really like this team and the depth it has compared to others. Obviously need a cheapie at D8 but might even be able to scrounge some extra by downgrading one of my mids. Doedee & Fritcsch also the perfect loop duo with Keeffe & Sicily toggling between the forwards & backs.

I like how you've been able to make sure Keefe won't be an onfield rookie when you swing him 3 guys onfield down back as well as fritsch down forward seem to have the scoring ability over him.

Love defence and rucks.

Brayshaw IMO will end up averaging within 5ppg of Jaeger same with Christenson v Rayner. With those changes, you could end up getting dangerfield or turning coniglio into a likely top 10 mid. Would increase cash generation without decreasing your teams overall scoring output.

Garlett didn't even get named for JLT2 so that's another rookie we're down

Garlett with shoulder niggle, blues didn't want to risk him. Like pickett last year blues love him. Hopefully he shows more than pickett.

Stacked team and looks great but not sure about rookie cash generation. Some iffy job security amongst them.
So you made need the cash to bring in a Naughton/Coffield down back and  Brayshaw/Brodie in the mids. Dropping Omeara or Libba to Brayshaw will free up a good amount to work with

Brayshaw will be around the 75 mark, history tells you that first year rookies throw in the occasional stinker which lowers their score. O'Meara should hit 90 but could even nudge the ton.

Andrew Gaff - 61
Jordan Lewis - 62
Bryce Gibbs - 63
Angus Brayshaw - 65
Trent Cotchin - 66
Harley Bennell - 68
Marc Murphy - 70
Isaac Heeney - 70
Clayton Oliver - 70
Jack Viney - 71
Nat Fyfe - 72
Brett Deledio - 74
Ollie Wines - 75
Callum Mills - 77
Dustin Martin - 77
Joel Selwood - 77
Marcus Bontempelli - 78
David Swallow - 79
Dyson Heppell - 83
Daniel Rich - 85
Jaeger O'Meara - 90 *was held back a year due to GC inception

Have discussed Rayner at length and I don't expect him to run out games given his tank is so poor. I don't expect Keeffe to get named but that doesn't concern me as he's there for the loophole.

Round 1. Doedee (E)
Round 2. Doedee (E)
Round 3. Fritcsch (E)
Round 4. Doedee (E)
Round 5. Doedee (E)

Not sold on Christensen at all but he's the best bet in the price range. I reckon he'll be a slow burn type but should outscore all the first year rookies.

If Murphy doesn't get named there's a few options, TMitch to Neale, Bont to Cripps or Kelly to Beams.

There's many ways to skin a cat with $$, guys like Cogs, Libba, O'Meara, Cyril & Bundy should all make 100k+. Would like to get Brayshaw in there but he's not fitting at present. Given his starting price he'll need to average 75 to match someone like Barry.

My concern would be more that those rookies don't play though or are dropped early. Murphy a very slim chance of lining up round 1, Barry the same and Banfield may be holding a spot until the Hill brothers return. Those ontop of Keefe who is a 50/50 and Olango who won't play and cash generation/bench cover could dry up very quickly. If they are all named then it's worth a shot and you will be flying in the early rounds
