Can do that at any stage with the Keefe link, will assess rookies on a round by round basis.

I've tried to sit on a team for more than 24 hours and I'm like a heroin junkie going back for more.  ;D

Most of it is set now, just waiting on Heeney, rookies, another glimpse of Heater & another look at Hanley. Have several back-up plans from here.

Not Robinson Crusoe there - Have been tinkering with mine as well and working on back up plans if most rookies do not start.

Excl his two game season last year, Arma has averaged 85+ the previous 5, including a whopping 109 one year.

Personally, I've seen enough across the two JLTs to lock him in to be returning to similar form this year. Didn't set the world on fire in JLT2, but he only had 65% odd TOG, and is the type of guy who just needs to get through the preseason, doesn't really have to prove anything.

Clearly in the Saints best 22, in their top few mids (with Steven and Ross).

I'd back him in to end up 450k+ with an average of 85+, which is more than enough to be, at the minimum, a great stepping stone to an elite premo.

In saying this I'm facing the same issue you are in that picking a player like this unbalances the rest of the side.

Really like the team but I am unsure of 5 rookies in the 123k price range lining up round 1. May need to find the cash to get Naughton/Coffield unless you are happy to have a donut.

To get Armitage in there I have to go cheap in defence, that means Hurley down to Shaw & Hibberd down to Hanley, not willing to give up Cogs either. I've tried to make it work but the forward rookies are so poor there really is no other option but to cover F5 with Bundy.

Be interesting to see how Kelly, Banfield etc. go against the likes of O'Meara, Armitage, Griffen. If I can eke out some 70s then it won't be such a bad set-up. The big problem is F5 & F6, Fritsch looks worthy of an onfield position but the others could be major liabilities.

Hibberd to Simpson will get the job done if cash is needed. As I mentioned in the previous post I'm willing to have 1 non-starter if Cameron gets named, strategically it's actually a more powerful position as one can also use Sicily to scoop up the big scores on two lines. Ballenden another who will be considered.

Dusty will be an early upgrade target & Lambert is someone I'm considering, might come in for Walters but will wait on the final JLT.

Probably, although I'm pretty sure this will be my structure, would take an O'Meara blitzkreig to get him in at this stage. And there's Heeney of course, gut says stay away though, don't think he's 100%.

That is literally an identical forward and backline to my own currently, except I have WitherGOAT instead of Hibberd.

So obviously I approve ;D

I would be nervous playing two rookies forward given the lack of cover. Not sure Stephenson will play every week
