Any interest seems good value at his price.

Money Shot

There seems to be a lot of geniune options in his price range. In regards to Smith he could easily go 90+ but for me im waiting and seeing his role.

Huttabito

I was super keen as soon as he was traded but haven't really given him much thought since then. Really awkward price, if he doesn't go 90+ it'll be a bust. Would need him to be playing a fair bit of mid in JLT for me to reconsider.

When he stitched clubs he said he was most interested about rehabilitation facilities and injury management above all else. Sounds ominous.

Money Shot

Think Petrecca would be my pick at his price range.

Hard to get excited about a mature player at a new club at his price that has never been at the elite level

SilverLion

Forwards are a shot in the dark this year, he's as good an option as any really.

frenzy

He gave me the showers last season, maybe the change of scenery will help, but I will steer clear.

Well said.

Yes, but sometimes a change of club brings with it a transformation of sorts.  At least that's what I'm hoping.

Will wait and see how his role in the JLT and then decide for F3.

I remember reading this as well a while back. Like the kid, think he can score well, but those comments were a bit worrying from a fantasy perspective.

Southstorm

Devon was on a modified program prior to the new year and is now back training with the main group. There doesn't appear to be any lingering issues with him.

I expect Smith to take over from Colyer's role in running through the midfield to half forward this year and his scoring to probably end up around the 95 ppg mark. Devon has a much better two way game than any of Essendon's other running smalls so he'll the preferred option to start in the centre.

It looks like this year, 95 or thereabouts will be enough to crack the top 6 so I'm leaning towards rolling the dice.

2060 pts at an average of 98.0 having played 21/21 games.
I ended up starting in R1 which proved the right decision.
Unfortunately I traded him at the byes as I gambled that his injury v Brisbane in R12 would keep him out for a few weeks.
Brought in Robbie Gray who has played an extra game than Devon over that period but is now down on points albeit minimally. Wish I had kept him now and saved the trade.
Has been arguably the recruit of the year and a great SC player in 2018.
Next year I think he'll be a pure mid and non relevant from a SC viewpoint.
