I think Henry is pretty good and my pick of the bunch - forward as a junior but with the state of their defence, is playing back there. Can read the flight of a ball well and put up 10 spoils on the weekend giving him a good boost in scoring. 27 in Rd2 but concussed on 35% TOG (5 touches 100% DE, 2 marks, 2 tackles in this time). I expect Ratugolea will play more forward if Stanley/Smith come back.

Crowden won't get a lot of touches but applying heaps of pressure and is ranked one of the top over the last fortnight in the comp with 47 pressure acts - Fyfe is leading the most total (66) for Freo but Crowden has the best average. Playing his role but if this drops off, he will score poorly and be dropped.

Henry > Crowden > Ratugolea  is the order I would pick those 3.

Henry vs Ed Richards?

Once Henderson comes back for the cats I can imagine that Henry will be back to the VFL. I'd take Richards.

McLean v Walters (McLean looks like to have the better run).

Walters has averaged 110 over the last 13 games, that also includes an injury affected 49. Think you have to take the bigger sample size.

The injury score of 47 was when he hurt his knee in the 4th quarter, not sure you can factor that in too heavily!
McLean is also a lot younger with plenty of improvement left in him, Walters is in his 10th season.

Avg over past 11:
Walters 98 vs McLean 102
Stats can be misleading at times  ::)

So you just drew a line in the sand which cut Walter's 119, 137 & 135? These scores correlate with his move to the midfield.

He also injured himself at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

Not suggesting McLean is a bad pick, I had him in my team 24 hours ago but the constant referral to Walter's being a 10 year player means squat given he's never had a decent run in the middle.

Get them both.   If Bevo and Ross are playing both in the middle they warrant being in our SC teams.
Be very happy to have them Heeney, Dev Smith, Buddy, and F6 can be a toss up between billings, sicily and Lobb.

Yeah thinking both. Was a little concerned with Walters injury history at seasons start so didn't  pick him but is quickly proving me wrong. So prob get McLean now ( Doggies fixture opening up nicely after this week) and then Walters after the bye if he keeps going like he has.

Brayshaw --> Crowden
Arma --> McLean

or

Ryan --> Henry/Crowden
Arma --> Acres

Thoughts?

This
Not sure Acres can keep it up all year.
Any opportunity to use DPP with trades?

First option means next week I basically have to go Ryan --> Higgins to bring McLean into the FWDs.
Would make M6-11 and F6-8 look like this (Will have to field one of Higgins, Crowden, Banfield, Garlett, Fritsch or ZGL):

Kelly, Holman, Banfield (Higgins (M/F), Crowden (M/F), Garlett (M/F))
Christensen (Giles-Langdon, Fritsch)

Second option means I keep Brayshaw (If I go Henry instead of Crowden, Acres is stranded in the mids at M6 unless I bring Higgins in for someone next week):

Kelly, Holman, Brayshaw (Banfield, Crowden (M/F), Garlett (M/F)
Christensen (Giles-Langdon, Fritsch)

or

Acres, Kelly, Holman (Brayshaw, Banfield, Garlett (M/F)
Fritsch (Henry, Giles-Langdon)

If I could do option 2 and bring in McLean I think I would, but I agree with you regarding Acres - just not sold on him yet.

McLean over Acres. Brayshaw needs to go to someone who can make similar/more money for 80+ k cheaper.
Ryan > Higgins next week looks promising.

Why is everyone so big on McLean? Surely doesn't keep up 110 average?

He's getting lots of mid time, more than Bont, and with no Libba there that should continue. Has a great bye, and really should go 95+ for the season which should make him a top 10 forward.

I'm pretty confident McLean will be a top 10 forward, but think I might hold off just in case.

The thing with the Dogs is they have so many similar players that can play in the midfield and rotate forward. McLean's getting plenty of midfield time at the moment, but he could easily be stuck forward if Beveridge decides to get Bontempelli back on the ball.

This happened to Dahlhaus last year - averaged 108 through the fist 7 rounds, then he played forward majority of the rest of the year and could only manage 3 more tons.

Still think he's a great pick, but I'm holding off just for now.

Billings vs Yeo/Hibberd vs Zerrett

They should roughly be around same price next week, need one.

Advanced cheers.

Hi guys, need some advice for a potential trade in my draft league.

What are peoples thoughts on:

J Lloyd and Lachie Neale

vs

A Witherden and S Ross

Unsure whether to propose the trade or not?

Cheers guys!
