Need to trade out Ryder.

Who would you pick out of Grundy, Witts or Jacobs?
Won't consider Goldy or Stef?
Feel like preuss or Smith could come in if either of them have a couple of bad games

With Crouch out some decisions will need to be made...

Parker vs Gibbs vs Laird

Parker: liking the look of him especially the fact that after round 6 they have a long run of fairly easy games.

Gibbs: looks in good nick in Adelaide and with crouch may get more responsibility in the middle. Already averaging 117 at this point so maybe he can continue

Laird: Looking like he is going to be a top 6 defender again this year. Bit worried that since he has dominated the last 2 games, teams may clamp down on him.

In terms of scoring capabilitiy
Parker > Gibbs > Laird

In terms of being elite in their position by the end of the year
Laird > Parker > Gibbs

In terms of pod ness
Gibbs > Parker > Laird

Or the last option, wait a week downgrade a rookie once their price has risen and turn crouch into danger

Oliver/Parker > Laird > Gibbs IMO

Wouldn't wait a week if going for overall, if only aiming for league then possibly could.

This is one I think I'm going to be stewing on all week...

Oliver (+14.8k) vs. Taranto (+262k)

Two very different players I know, but the selection is more than just them, it effects the entire structure of my forwards and mids.

If I pick Oliver:

Martin, Mitchell, Oliver, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Armitage, Kelly (Holman, Banfield, Brayshaw)

Billings, Smith, Sicily, Christensen, Fritsch, Giles-Langdon (Garlett, Ryan)

If I pick Taranto:

Martin, Mitchell, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Armitage, Kelly, Holman (Banfield, Brayshaw, Garlett)

Billings, Smith, Sicily, Taranto, Christensen, Fritsch (Giles-Langdon, Ryan)

Taranto offers much more cash in the bank, and opens up a DPP with Garlett. Also means I can field Holman instead of Giles-Langdon. Oliver is a jet and will no doubt be a top 10 mid and is a like for like replacement for Crouch.

I'm stuck on this one.

Not even factoring in Parker as an alternative (+81.6k), or my second trade (likely to be Brayshaw for English or Fogarty, but can't do Brayshaw for English if I pick Taranto, as I won't have anyone to swing into the mids to do that).

Help?

I'd lean towards Taranto.
It gives u cash for Danger. Coniglio/Armo to Danger when breakevens match up.
Holman on field over Langdon and only have to field 1 fwd rookie with Bundy at F5.
DPP with Garlett very handy.

Against that Oliver will kill it again this year and English could make a heap of cash. Tough one. Can u get English as a ruck?

Cheers ubeaut. Starting to think Taranto is at best case Oliver 2.0 and worst Steele 2.0, so don't think there is much downside there.

Re: English, I can but won't have a loophole. Could also bring him in for Ryan as an alternative. Doing either of these would mean keeping Brayshaw.

The cash in the bank is a massive bonus too.

Am going to find it hard to pass up on Oliver though.

Potential Rockliff replacement.

Cripps (130 & 115 - 537k)
vs
Oliver (123 & 146 - 612.8k)
vs
Macrae (120 & 142 - 587.8k)
vs
Parker (149 & 79 @ HT - 546k)

Really like what Macrae has been able to do in 2 pretty heavy losses, but Grape is absolutely flying. Clarrie is also going from strength to strength & Cripps has also been really good. :/

Looking at the same players for me, except for a crouch replacement.
That Macrae POD looks very tempting

Cripps for the best value if u want extra cash (don't we all!) And has the good bye.
Oliver to just outscore the others (imo)but is top price
Parker and Macrae for both value and PODness. Macrae has the good bye round but the doggies look Woeful.

Have to weigh everything up cos their all great options. Wish I could bring one in myself! Got Cripps tho.
