Speaking of risks haha

Coniglio M6 + Jom M7
Vs
Bont M6 + LDU M7

Points wise I think option 1 but option 2 saves a trade and would have better cash generation. Also less risk
Bont and LDU. For exactly the reasons you stated

These are a couple that I am tossing a coin over:

Cripps v Parker Rd 14 bye not too bad for me as if I go Parker will only have 6 keepers with the bye. At the moment have Cripps.

Gunston v Boak v Jack Martin - Have Gunston at the moment, Boak  and Martin with Rd 10 bye will be the only one with that bye. Leaning towards Boak at the moment.

Parker because he is a bigger POD think they will score similar and the other choice is tough don't like any if I had to have one Boak but would rather take a punt on Smith or De Goey for less $$

Parker I'd say.

Stay away from Boak until after his bye. Gunston probably a better pick that JMart unless JMart gets more minutes in the midfield. There's probably better options than those two though

Cripps, even if the r14 bye isn’t an issue for you now might be worth looking at who r your upgrade targets and if you will bring them in before the byes, this part of it hurt me last year haha my starting team as fine for byes then before I knew it after trading I was in a bit of trouble haha. Also think Cripps will comfortable be Carlton’s number 1 scorer, Parker has quite a few to contend with and can see Sydney rotating plenty through that midfield

what about Murphy?

Mantis

Think cripps will outscore murphy and kruezer but if you compare it to Parker whom is competing with Heeney, JPK, Hannerbury & Franklin. Guess you could mention simpson but then swans also have players like Lloyd, Mills etc.

Keeper27

Option 1: Birchall (D4) + Deledio (F4) + $56K

Option 2: Birchall (D4) + Christensen (F4) + $129K

Option 3: Rookie (D4) + Gray (F4) + $45K

Option 4: Mills (D4) + Christensen (F4) + $3K

Team:
DEF - Roberton/Shaw/Hanley/?? ???/Doedee/Cumming (Richards/Jaksa)
MID - Danger/Titch/Fyfe/Beams/Cripps/Coniglio/LUD/Brodie (Polson/Starcevich/Murphy)
RUC - Jacobs/Gawn (English)
FWD - Billings/Mclean/Barlow/?? ???/Higgins/Ahern (Garlett/Moore)

disregard rookies as they are just place sitters, RED = potential keepers

If Birch is right to go Option 2.
Don't reckon Lids will be a keeper and I'd rather Bundy who is rearing to go at 70k less.
Rookie at D4 may be too weak and would rather wait to see how Gray goes with Rocky in team.
Save cash for rookie corrections or if Birch doesn't get up

Gray's out, cos that gives you 4 out in the donut bye.
Birch has to get fit and make the team.
so that leaves Mills and Bundy.

Keeper27

cheers guys, gone with mills & bundy.
team now looks pretty balanced.

Save cash for rookie corrections

thats why i've chosen the more expensive rookies on each line, better to downgrade and save money than shifting your whole team to upgrade

Barlow vs Hanley?

I know they are different positions but looking at one or the other due to r10 bye and possibly picking Ryder.

Both have scoring history and could benefit from GAJ leaving. That said GC seem to have a crap load of mids.

Barlow an inside ball magnet very fit, great preseason but age may be a factor.
Hanley a classy outside player with solid end to last year. May get used back which could be good or bad.

Who would u pick and why?

The thing that puts me off is how injury prone they both are. I like the defensive premos more than the forward premos though so would be more likely to go with Barlow as he could be one of the top few forward scorers if fit

Hanley all the way, last 5 scores were all premo quality - 90, 119, 100, 87, 105. His average also includes a couple of injury affected matches.

Barlow didn't ton up in his last 7 matches prior to injury. That's not to say he's a bad pick but I'd suggest his impact is waning.
