Menegola vs. Dahlhaus
Both could come out and kill it this season but Menegola doesn't have the runs on the board and Dahlhous had a shocking end to last season so both come with some risk.

Think I would be leaning towards Dahlhaus (only just) purely because of price.

Ringo

Dahlhaus slightly for me as well. Effect of Gazz forward on Menegola needs to be seen.

Cheers guys, so the follow up one is...

Dahlhaus vs. Smith

Think Dahlhaus is the safer option out of the two but Smith at his price is tempting.

Just think that Dahlhaus has the runs on the board more consistantly over his career and im sure him with all the other doggies will bounce back this season.

Yep Dahl Smith is an unknown quantity at a new club

Would love some opinions on these combos;

A) Cripps, 2 x Def rookies, Kreuzer
B) Mid rookie, Crisp/Shaw, Brayshaw, Jacobs

All rookies will be placed on field in the scenario (currently on A with 6 premo mids + LDU + Brodie and only 3 def premos)

I see it as;

115 + 50 + 55 + 105 = 325
vs
65 + 90 + 80 + 95 = 330

Hence why I am so confused! Cheers :)

IMHO, Option A gives you two set and forget players and two cash cows.

Option B gives you one set and forget player, one cash cow, a guy that's half a chance to be a premium and a guy that's half a chance to be a decent cash cow.

I'd go Option A every time. What you lose in the 5 points a game for the first game, you save a trade and earn more value. It takes a seriously well priced mid-pricer to beat Guns n rookies and I don't think Brayshaw, Crisp and Shaw are seriously well priced.

Hey thanks for the in depth response! You pretty much re-affirmed my feelings on the situation, appreciate it! :)

I disagree with the point estimates,
60 for def rookies (Might get a 65 & 55 or 70 & 50), Cripps 115 is an massive overestimate (more likely somewhere between 100 & 110)
70 for Mid rookies, Shaw/Crisp could go anywhere 80-100, Brayshaw 70-90, Jacobs 95-105

I see it as;

105 + 60 + 60 + 105 = 330
2 Prems (1x Best of Position, 1x 2nd tier of position) + 2x 200k increase rookies
vs
70 + 90 + 80 + 100 = 340
2 Prems (1x Best of Position, 1x 2nd tier of position) + 1 Mid Price $100k increase & 1x 200k increase rookie

So for me it is 330 points + $400k vs 340 points + $300k Cash. Same amount of trades.

117k-317k is clearly possible, if you are trading them out earlier then you are losing value.
