I think hes prob worth the risk

Here's another article that mentions Griffen in the rebounding role.

Heater will get 50+ points a week just kicking it to himself after a behind was scored

I've got both Heater and Griff in my side currently, and as long as they look alright in JLT I can't see them moving

Would love to go Hibberd to Heater to free up 100k, I'm just nervous about the competition. Griffen & Deledio can still take kick outs, Deledio pretty much done & dusted as a forward.

There's still a over a month before round 1. Lids and Griff should do a long term injury by then lol

How can we be certain he will take the kick ins tho? Could be Griff or Lids or shared between two or three of them or/and a younger player with view to the future?
It wasn't just Williams and Wilson that affected his scores, he looked slow and had an off year. I watched him a fair bit as I unfortunately started him and he blasted other players for stuffing up while doing sweet FA himself many times.

Hah!  ;D

Laird, Shaw, Hanley, then a few 160k rookies  ;D

Obviously nothing is locked in until we see rookies and teams but going cheap down back (which I tend to do every year) does put all other lines in very good shape

SilverLion

Won't start him, if he proves me wrong and looks like averaging 100+ I'll pay the bit extra and bring him in mid year.

Probably the smart choice. I just don't see anyone else that stands out or is any safer after Hurley, Laird and Hibberd

Simpson maybe? Hasn't gone under a 90 average in the last decade or so. No docherty so could get more cheap posses down back, great bye too.

rebird

D3 for me, but I'm not counting him as a keeper. Will hopefully perform until his bye and traded then.

Surely that's a tad too much money for the backline? D4 at the most for mine but as you say depends on rookies. Surely Carlton give us a Byrne/O'Shea/O'Brien for D4/5
