Downgrading Yeo to Heater is looking very tempting

100k is a massive difference, and with no Wilson and Williams Heater could bounce back

He burnt me last year too, but at least he didn't miss games and has a proven record

Yep he has certainly come back into calculations with Williams out

fanTCfool

I'm not sure that Williams getting injured actually helps Heater that much. No Wilson, no Williams, would he not attract the tag we've seen slaughter his fantasy numbers previously?

He could. I did think of him as soon as Williams went down though. He'll probably still mentor the young guys, but might pick up some slack. At 50k less I'd probably have a crack...

SilverLion

Only went above 100 a couple of times for the entirety of last year. Regardless if Williams is there or not, he is past his best and just isn't SC relevant anymore.

The development of Wilson & Williams was partially due to teams starting to put hard tags on Shaw, with both of these taken out Shaw is the only player in defence that could get the tag. Big worry for me and ill steer clear, possible upgrade if he looks like he is back to his best.

Ricochet

I had him in early due to Wilson leaving. Williams gone now too only puts more of an emphasis on getting him to ball imo. They'll want it in his hands

Nige

Has certainly become more and more tempting with each passing day since the ZWilliams news. I reckon he's a good chance to find his way into my side come Round 1.

FLUX

Think his best days are behind him now. He will still have the odd great scoring game but he just doesn't have that consistency anymore. For 20k more i'd be picking J.Lloyd or Witherden

GoLions

Definitely increased my interest with Williams going down, and would save me some cash...but flower he hurt me last year ahaha

Bully

Going cold on Shaw, had him in for ages but I'm now hearing whispers that Deledio & Griffen will be playing the rebounders role whilst Cumming gets up to scratch.

ubeaut

Can't decide on Heater. He would have to score 10ppg more than last year which is totally possible.
Just think he's past it in yerms of consistency. Wish he was 400k then I'd probably do it.
Griffen or Lids at HB makes sense to me if I was the coach, so if that happens I can see another 80 odd annoying score line.

RaisyDaisy

Heater's been on my radar for quite some time but I just can't see him pumping out much more 100+ scores anymore

Adamant

I've never been burnt by this bloke, in fact the only season I ever picked him was in 2015 when he played 22 @ 112, so it's fair to say I love him.

He's got the easiest role in the AFL. Just sits at full-back and demands the backwards kick to set up the switch, and his teammates give it to him almost every time. Wouldn't surprise me if he exceeded triple figures again.

frenzy

90 odd will put him in the top 10 DEF.... I take that thanks. He's still durable as hell.

Jukes

Fact - the last time Heater had a season where he averaged under 90 he immediately improved his average 28.6 points for the next year!

Heater has always shown an ability to rebound after a poor season, as he did in 2011 (90.2 average, his lowest since his rookie season in 05, to a 100.8 average) and 2015 (91.8 average, his lowest since 2010, to a 112 average). Age is the biggest risk factor but I'm confident he has a few more years of good scoring left in him, as frenzy mentioned he's been very durable as of late (hasn't missed a game since mid-2014) and is priced at a lower-end premium when he definitely has potential to be top 6 if not the #1 backman in the (SC) game.
