I'm half way through the fixtures for this season and will post them up as soon as they are done.
The Port and Gold Coast bye round will be the same as last year, round 12 scores will be used for the players from those teams so the final scores for that round will be delayed.

I've been working with Purps on making it a bit easier for doing the scores each week and we will be using spreadsheets setup to tally scores every week, the way teams are posted will change,I'll let everyone know once things are fully organised.

Multi bye rounds will consist of the same comp as last season

The eliminator will start later as it did last year so it ends in the last round again

Welcome to the new season everyone.
Just a couple of things I didn't get to post about before the season started,I've had some personal issues that most coaches know about but I'm not posting here in the open forum so have not been able to do some of the stuff I wanted before the season started.

First off Purple77 kindly did up spreadsheets for us to use this season and beyond which has all the team lists linked to it and automatically tallies the weekly scores and the ladder so we can have the scores posted sooner now.
With the use of the spreadsheets in play this means you will no longer have to post your scores each week and therefore means the 20 bonus points is no longer needed.

The ladder will be posted at the end of each round in the team lodgement threads

The Eliminator will run the same as last season starting in round 5(TBC) so that it finishes just before our finals start.

Team of the week and Rising Star will run a per previous seasons.

I've thought about this and have decided I just can't admin this comp as it should be at this point and as it has been over the years.
I've got too much personal stuff going on atm and it's causing me to lose any love for fantasy that I've had before
So if there's anyone that wants to take over  that'd be really great, everything is in spreadsheets so it's easy enough to do.

Thats a damn shame LF :'( you have been excellent as admin. Hope all is well with you.

It's with great sadness that I announce that nostradamus and Rids are resigning from their post as coaches of the Springfield Isotopes due to time constraints stemming from changes in their lives in recent times. nost was actually an original ADT coach as the founder of the Roswell Aliens before crossing to the Springfield Isotopes when Rids took over that team. We thank both of them for their time and commitment to ADT over the years and wish them the best with whatever may come.

In addition to this, we have decided to be proactive in acquiring a new coach to take over the team effective immediately, so I'd like to be the first to welcome fanTCfool to ADT as the new coach of the Springfield Isotopes. FTC already has positions in AXVs, ASC and recently picked up a BXVs coaching position as well, and has also applied for an ADT position in the past so I have no doubt he'll fit perfectly in the role. Welcome Ryno!

Barra13

Welcome mate.

It wasn’t until I updated my spreadsheet and wrote his name in capitals that I only just figured his name out. Haha.

fanTCfool

Thanks Nige and to you too Barra, looking forward to making the most of a rock solid Springfield side.
Hopefully things turn out well for both Rids and Nostra who did a great job constructing this list.

Crossposting this announcement here as well:

Hi all, I've got an important announcement to make. It's gonna be slightly long, as I want to break it down properly. I understand some people won't bother to read it, but it would be very much appreciated if you did.

In Round 12, Atto made an unacceptable and late submission which can be seen in the screeny below:

It was posted on the Friday just before AFL Sunday benches dropped, Atto was online shortly after but named the above. There were several issues with it as you can see below:

Among the issues, there were including Webster and Zaharakis (as captain) who were both injured), Perryman, O'Brien and Mayes weren't in their 22s that their AFL sides name and Ben Jacobs was an out. Atto was incredibly lucky that his emergencies were just enough to cover some of his outs, but still copped donuts from Perryman and Jacobs. He also had to name Murdoch as OOP ruck because he missed naming Nankervis, his first choice ruck who played on the Thursday. This also meant he was unable to play Shaun Grigg as well, one of his perfectly capable starting mids.

As a result of that, I followed up with a PM to him on the forum which said:

As you can see, the PM I sent was basically immediate so he had time to fix it if he saw it, but it appears he named his team and went straight offline.

I like to be honest and not sugarcoat things. Admin work of these comps can be tough. I want to run this comp to the best of my ability and carry on the fine work LF put into this comp and apply the same standard of fairness but when this is breached by coaches, we have to follow through with the consequences for their actions, or lack thereof.

Atto made his team submission the following week. Again on the Friday, missing out of any Swans/Cats players. Fortunately, the only player he really appeared to miss at all may have been Murdoch. However, naming the teams on a Friday evening isn't a great habit to have.

While I didn't take much issue with that submission, he failed to reply the PM from the previous week which both LF and myself felt was poor on his behalf even though he managed to come and name his team. I don't like to assume, but either Atto read and didn't reply/acknowledge or ignored it altogether which is disappointing.

I followed up with last Friday's submission with a PM to him on Facebook asking him to please reply or acknowledge the PM sent to him on FF. The FB message was sent at 11:23am on Saturday morning (because I went to the footy on Friday night). He is yet to reply that message and hence a decision has been made.

LF and I have spoken about this in length and I had hoped to never do this, but unfortunately Atto's actions (and in some instances, lack thereof) have left us with no action but to terminate him as a coach in ADT. It wasn't an easy to make and I sincerely hope we never have to do it again.

We've been proactive in finding a replacement for the team so it doesn't remain without a coach. A while ago, Barra informed of me that his assistant coach would be interested in a position should one open up.

So it's with great pleasure that I welcome bchester23 to ADT as new coach of the Dallas Coyotes! Good luck for the rest of the season, and in the future!

Fair enough Nige, and understand that was no easy decision.

I guess I can count my lucky stars as I went MIA in 2016 for 4 or so rounds as I was away in Europe. Didn't tell the admins but was meant to have a friend to login and post my teams for me when I was away, which they didn't. I lost the SC Americas team  because of that. I would say it wasn't fair on other teams as arguably my team was the worst that season, but it definitely was exaggerated  with no submissions. Luckily I was able to touch base with LF and she let me stay.

Hard call Nige, but a fair one and good to get an eager coach in bchester23 to come in.

Congrats bchester23, all the best for you in future seasons.

I remember that,we were actually in the process of replacing you lucky you got in touch in time before it happened

Jayden Hunt is our 'rising star' because he's a lock for D1 in 2018.   ;D

Barra13

Haha I do remember you saying that. Can barely get a game at the moment.

Nige

Now that SR has picked, I'm gonna process all the lists to make sure everything is all good to go, and I think we'll wait for positions to drop as they should be out some time this week. After that, we'll open up trade period 2.
