Clayton Oliver???

Last year was just an average year for him.

In all seriousness, I haven't seen him in a single side yet. Imagine what he could average if he starts kicking the thing

Lovell was touted as Smitch 2.0 and his replacement, so I'll be keeping an eye on him and if he lines up Round 1 then he has to be considered
[/quote]With RD on Lovell,  all the talk is about him stepping into the mid rotation and performing.  Significant expectations from within Hawks followers.

Reckon Mitch Hibberds a good chance to breakout if he can get his body right

Brayden Maynard. You heard it here first! With Adams and Pendles potentially seeing more minutes off HB Maynard should be the one to push into the centre and use his big body to good effect. If he can clean up his DE% can see him averaging 85-90

coming into his 4th year, Big body, Has been working on his tank this pre season, Every game played last year had more kicks - handball ratio, all the signs are pointing to a breakout year. An increase of just 10-15% through the middle this season will see him hit some big numbers. $394k worth the risk to me

Pretty keen on Maynard as well. Have him in AF atm, not for SC. Could come in if I need a non-rookie at D4.

I have him in both atm but yeah far less risk picking him in AF. Even if i don't end up starting him in SC i think he's in for a big year

although i do see him pushing into the midfield more, i still see him mainly playing in the backline as we lack defenders of his type. And the pies have too many midfielders to give him consistent time

It's more a combination of natural development and extra mid time, as opposed to just the mid time. An extra 20mins in the midfield a game could see him get an extra 10ppg, but natural improvement could also add an extra 5-10ppg as well, which could see him go 85-90 and a solid D6 option.

I'm hoping though that enough rookie options pop up, and I can go in with 3 premo defenders and not have to take any risks haha

Yeah, putting your faith in players who are untested at AFL level isn't risky at all.

Petracca anyone?

Doesn't count. 2018 will be his 4th year in the system.

Bailey Williams had a 56 disposal game as a junior and knows how to accumulate at will. Looks to have cemented himself as a regular in the Dogs back six and has plenty of opportunity without Bob and Boyd down there.

Ben Keays will also take after Rocky's useless hug tackles at the bottom of a pack which will ensure an extra 20 points per game alone.
