Wow,  your team bats deep.   Lots of returning players at good value.
? Seedsman,  best season was 2013 with 16 games at 79 avg.   What has changed to make him a viable option.  If he is not a speculative keeper why not start a rookie that will generate cash.

Armitage, Griffen, Ah Chee and Christensen.    St Kilda followers do not see Armo in their best 22 so you have job risk.  I would think 1 of Ah Chee or Christensen and go with rookies for M7 and upgrade m6 to Coniglio.

In summary too much risk involved but we all see the game differently so best of luck.

Peter

Very nice team, obviously gambling on upgrading to Mitchell, big risk there, but will get you early points

Money Shot

Agree with Gibbs coming in Seedsman probably goes further down in the pecking order. If you are considering a midpriced option look at Brayshaw from the dees he is due to breakout and if fit will score 80-85 comfortably I would say.

Armitage might not even be best 22 anymore which has already been mentioned but that is an easy downgrade to a rookie if needed.

Most teams aim to have a minimum of 13 premiums, I count 12 including Lobb who I see as a premium. So although I am not against this midprice madness team in supercoach where you have limited trades.

Would try and get another keeper in.

Side looks great, similar FWD line to what I think I'll be running. Main concerns are the same as others mentioned, Seedsman, Armitage and possibly Griffin. Will they become keepers? If not, will they make enough cash to justify selection over a rookie?

shaker

A few to many cheapish players for my liking if they all score very well you will be a genius if they don't they could just stagnate and make little cash maybe you need to find a happy medium?

Peter

What is your estimate of cash generation of the 6 mid-pricers. Imo, most will go with 3-4, but 6 is highly risky.

The Seed, Birchall, Armitage, Griffen, Lobb, Bundy, Ah Chee..... I'm diagnosing you with mid price madness, go see your doctor!

Thanks for all the advice guys! In terms of the mid-priced madness, I would've had a very similar opinion in past years. However, I have found that the rookies are getting worse and worse every year, so I've decided to back in a mid-price strategy this year. Remember, as long as I made reasonable rookie choices, I will only be missing out on the worst rookies, not the best! Using this structure for last year, that would've meant avoiding Florent and Mitch Hibberd, who made no cash at all!!

@crowls @moneyshot - Probably a slight concern over Seedsman, but I feel as though Mackay might be the one Gibbs replaces. Will wait and see come round 1. In terms of scoring, Seedsman averaged 80 in five games in 2017, so I'm confident he could continue that playing off half-back and make 100k.

As for Armitage, really interesting to hear the view of StKilda supporters. He's out, Rioli's in. Ah Chee to the midfield.

Yep, at his best he is a machine and a vital part of our midfield. He was sorely missed in 2017 but his best looks in the past. Every time he got back to full training he broke down again. His pre season has been interrupted and at last report he still wasn't in full training. His best AFL season, and probably the only one he was SC relevant, followed his only full pre season. Forget himin your plans I'd say but I would love to be proven wrong.

If Griffin plays Rd. 1, would consider him a viable option at a similar price.

Or heaven forbid, JOM.
