He's no Sonny Walters. Can't see him putting in the extras like Walters did to get back, and honestly can't see him lasting now

So you want to fire a guy for his 2nd transgression at the club?  That to me seems extremely harsh.

Yes, he has messed up a lot at the Gold Coast, but when he arrived Ross stated that he gets a clean slate.  His only prior issue has been turning up drunk to a Peel game and then trying to talk to his cousin over the coach.

He then has this issue and you want to have him fired.  Please!!!!

If we fired him then we clearly didn't give him a clean slate like we publicly stated.

Sending him to Peel is a big punishment and now it's entirely up to Harley to decide if he really wants to play AFL.  The same thing was done to Michael Walters and look how he came back.

Turned up drunk, during the season, while rehabbing from injury(?)

He's had two chances, as Ada said, Ross is big on the clean slate sure. But he is also big on only getting one second chance.

Unfortunately, Bennell is not Walters.

I do hope I am wrong with all this, but I can only see it ending in tears tbh

fanTCfool

How many chances would you give him Valk?

Mental wise, he certainly is no Son Son, but football wise he is a genius.
The sad part about that is that as football lovers, we will more than likely never see the true genius of him.

Money on him never playing again.

I think the 8 week banishment and big fine surely means this is his last chance.

You will see him playing, just as a hired gun in local leagues or WAFL.......    A younger Fev

You just know somehow this won't be the last time it's just prolonging the inevitable

Yep, agree completely.

Sadly, I think you are correct.

I think, if Harley hadn't picked up the message up to date, then today should have given him a real inclination of how serious things are for him.
He was left out of the official teams photo shoot today.A vacant chair was there so he could be photo shopped in to the photo later on.
I did read some where on another site, that all the Aboriginal boys were photographed, I think somewhere in Fremantle last week meeting up and having a coffee.I wonder if this was a message coming from the brothers that he needs to pull his head in and get it in the right place.

He needs to pull his head in permanently and not just for a few months and I can't see that happening he may do it for a while and get back in the good books but he will flower up again that's Harley he loves to party  ;D

Hopefully, he's loaded with talent. It's a pretty extreme measure for him to sit out so long though, definitely seems like a last straw kind of circumstance.
