I know alot of fwd premos had question marks in preseason (Greene not running till feb, Gray suspended, Buddy knee ops etc) but I'm thinking I made a mistake picking unproven players in Billings and Walters over Greene and Buddy. St.Kilda and Freo are going t o struggle. Walters won't get the mid time I thought he would, and Billings, as good as he is, is going to find it hard going in a team that just got flogged by North Friggin Melbourne!
Greene and Buddy on the other hand have hit the ground running and showing no sign of interupted preaseasons and play for top six teams. Anyone that picked them along with Heeney is going to have a nice head start imo.
Only happy with Heeney in my fwd line atm, although Smith looks promising.

Reckon you're jumping the gun on Billings, scored 133 & 79, that's a 106 average.

As for Heeney, was 88 at half time and finished with 105. That's 3 games where he's faded badly after half time. Lack of preseason showing.

Hope I am proven wrong on Billings. How is he going to go against top 8 sides after getting pumped by North? That is my concern. More the team than the player. Heeney will get better as the season goes on and 105 pretty good effort for being under done against a competitive WC.

Saints are hot & cold, wouldn't read anything into this performance.

In regard to Billings, he will be fine as a top forward overall (although i hear st's have some tough games coming up so may test peoples resolve) As mentioned St Kilda despite losing to North Melbourne are in fact a better team, a first 1-5 rounds are unpredictable to say the least each year, no doubt you stick with him.

LordSneeze

Billings and Saints had a poor game and he still scored 79. If he was hitting 50s id be worried, but pretty much 80 in an unpredictable prem forward line is pretty solid.

Jesus what a complete meltdown...

Walters had to play Port away, which is potentially one of the toughest road trips this season.

Give Freo a chance at home before you make these ridiculous conclusions.

Currently have Smith, Billings, Sicily, Rioli, Lobb and rookies in my forward line.

Trading Lobb at this stage.. which forward premium would you choose? Can be anyone.

Looking at Heeney/Buddy/Gray/Menegola/Walters/McLean as my options.

Was thinking Gray looks like a really nice POD....

Gray will sting you in round 10.

I like Walters, his last 10 games have been super elite, the midfield time is making him a 100+ scorer. Can't see him dropping off.

Heeney, Buddy & Gray seem fully valued, they are also less of a POD so won't allow you to gather ground.

Menegola is an interesting one, top game last week but two poor scores prior. Wait & see for me.

Mclean is another who has a nice form line stretching back to last year, still a major POD too. For what it's worth I am picking Walters & McLean this week.

Heeney/Gray > McLean > Walters imo
Wait for Menegola/Buddy to drop in price.
Heeney looks like a set and forget 100 avg player. Gray good POD.

Gray has the real potential to hurt you in the head to heads, great loophole option once the forward line is stacked. Lowest 4 scores last year were 30, 38, 44 & 45.

Pay up for Heeney - he's worth it

Not many forwards that will ton up most weeks like he will

I've got Buddy, Heeney, Billings, Lobb but I plan on bringing in McLean and Walters very soon

Heeney has close to 40% ownership, he can also go missing. Started well last year too, then scored 2 tons in his last 11 matches. Can't forget that the Swans are jammed packed with SC relevant players, Heeney won't always have it his own way.

He has 40% ownership for a reason

You can't have a forward line full of POD's and expect to challenge

Heeney will be a Top 6 forward and that's all that matters

Will pick him up when he dips, prefer to roll the dice on others at this stage.
