Top 5/10 Defenders, 2018 thread.

My defence is currently: Laird, Yeo, Hurley, Simpson, Sicily, Savage (Duman, Mirra)

I intend to swing Sicily forward this week though.

Looking at Howe, WitherGOAT or Llooooooooooooooooydddd for the last spot.

Lloyd imo. As consistent as it gets, and will give you the occasional 130+.

Howe has been consistent so far. Llyod has had 2 huge scores in a row now but been quietish before the 2 scores. Witherden looks good for 90 av from here

Not entirely happy I took Murray for one more week, instead of the Simmo or Lloyd upgrade I was considering but it would've put doubt in a Finlayson->Savage trade so I've gone for the GOAT & Savage double upgrade next week, with a lack of potential rookies to grab.

You not worried about Witherden at times completely butchering the ball from D50? I thought he could be due a spell in the NEAFL watching after being at the lions game today. Personally I wouldn't touch him at this stage.

At 391k do we think Touhy would be good enough for D6?

I know he was raised as a discussion point recently, but I need to find a value pick because with all the mayhem I've endured this year I don't think I can get every 500k+ player that I'd want

I'm just looking at him as a contingency plan for now, but might need to execute

D6 should be alright right?

Probably the best if you are looking at less than 400k.. but I dont think you get any top 8-10 defender for that price.

Seriously considering him now that he has his confidence back.  Thought it may have been my Brisbane bias. After his slow start for the first 3 rounds has averaged 103 for next 6. May not keep this up but I expect a 90 - 100 for remainder which will do me for a D6.  Only thing stopping me at the moment is I have quite a few outs with Rd 13 bye. Plan is hoping for a minimal upgrade from Doedee to Andrews in Rd 14.
With his confidence up his spoils are more effective and he is not dropping marks as he was in first 3 rounds.
Currently priced at $465k with a B/e this week of 59.
Would wait a week though as he will be on Buddy this week and does not have a good record against him but not alone there, In 2 of the last 3 games against Swans did not even make the 59 B/e and third was a 64. So waiting a week could be ideal.

For 20k more i would rather Simmo or wait a week or 2 and get Hurley for maybe 30-35k more than Andrews

Think you might be onto something here for D6 RD. Besides round 5 (51) and round 6 (25), he has been fairly consistent..

He will probably through out a few bad scores, but think he could go to a 90 average from here, which might have to be enough for me at D6 given the issues i have had with injuries..

Will start going up from now, so this is the week to do it

I mean id say no regardless but also they have carlton this week and they seem to be set sending Lamb to the halfbacker and i expect it to be him
