So what the hell is the deal with Jimmy Webster?

Never in a million years would I have picked him to go 81, 106, 95, 112, 105 and currently 101 at the start of the 4th
Better option than Shane Savage.

Put him in last week. In under 1000 teams, another 130ish tonight. Great backline POD at the moment
Probably will start drawing some attention now, especially around the forum. Might well become flavour of the month.

You're not wrong!

Alex ''GOAT'' Witherden will be coming into my side before the byes.

Will be cheap too. Think I'll bring him in and swing Sicily forward at some stage.

Gigantor

Tom Jonas anyone?

10th best defender by ave, 7th by points, really consistent this year, will be around 480k after his bye and will be super handy during the normal byes?

Peter

Got him in three weeks ago and rewarded handsomely

Ringo

Jonas is another looking at after their bye next week as part of the strategy for normal byes.

I reckon I’m going to take the punt and bring in Webster over Simmo today. My season is just about shot, so might as well roll the dice.

112, 105, 132 last three since coming back. If he keeps those numbers up I’ll be happy!

I think he should still be good but there are some changes down back this week, Carlsile is out and as far as i know they didnt bring in a like for like replacement

His average last 4 years has been 71, 58, 65 & 66.

Why the sudden bump in scores? Position change like Savage?

His early season averages are irrelevant as he was still developing and never got a clean run at it due to injury, 2016 was the first time he had done a full pre-season and he took a huge step up as a result (averaging 74.3 without his injury affected game). This year has been all about opportunity - Joey retiring and Roberton going down has allowed him to become the designated kicker in defence. He's always been an elite kick and doesn't need that much of the ball to score well so he should be able to maintain a 90 average from this point onwards.

Haven't got the stones to pick guys like Jonas or Webster

Years of poor scoring suggests they might just be in a purple patch

I'd rather get the proven guys down back

Webster has to be considered. It's between him Hurn and Hurley for my last defender spot

See, I don't think I could not choose Hurley, especially considering he'll drop in price a bit once he returns.
