With the defence being a bit of a guess this year for top 10.... I am all for Witherden and McGrath. Witherden is a bit of a risk for me as although he looks the goods he has only played 11 or 12 games from memory so wouldn't you prefer someone like someone like Lloyd who is the same priced but who is 24 and played 92 games who is heading into his prime and already underpriced due to a 4 last year when he got injured?

McGrath I like and think a 90 average is very possible with more midfield minutes looking likely. I have Brayshaw in the same boat fyi.

Like the midfield. O'meara although injury prone would be my pick of the lot for the three names you have mentioned.

Like the rucks and forwards.
Def: Yeo, Laird, Lloyd, McGrath, S Murray, T Doedee. Bench. Mihocek, R Gardiner.

Mids: Danger, Dusty, Kelly, Fyfe, Gibbs, O'Meara,or(Armitage, Jack Graham), Uniacke, Kelly. Bench. Worpel, D Barry, N Holman

Rucks: Gawn. Nic Nat, Bench. English.

Forwards: Heeney, Billings, Lobb, Christensen, Rayner, Higgins. Bench. Venables, Crowden.

Cheers MS..Lloyd does give better stabilty to defence, had him last year before he got injured and just fell off the radar. JOM is risky I know and I prey that he stays healthy.

Some changes with re vamped defence, four changes.Yeo, Laird, Lloyd, McGrath,to Hurley, Hibberd, Ellis, Brayshaw. Mids, Gibbs to Merrett. Nic Nat seems risky atm so with extra cash have gone with Jacobs..and up front Billings to McLean. With a couple of rookie changes.

Def: Hurley, Hibberd, Ellis, Brayshaw, S Murray, T Doedee. Bench. Mihocek, R Gardiner.

Mids: Danger, Dusty, Kelly, Fyfe, Merrett, O'Meara, Uniacke, Kelly. Bench. Worpel, D Barry, N Holman

Rucks: Sauce, Gawn, Bench. Cameron.

Forwards: Heeney, T McLean, Lobb, Christensen, Rayner, Higgins. Bench. Venables, Garlett.

Thoughts welcome. :)

Nice side, identical structure to mine, except I've got Coniglio at M6 instead of JOM. Hibberd ahead of Laird?

Maybe doesn't have the extra 5k :P

Apart from JOM and Brayshaw being risks, seems like a pretty good side though. Personally, I prefer Laird to Hibberd and Hurley, but all 3 are good options.

Just keep an eye on O'Meara still not a lot coming out on how he is going.

Also when finalsing rookies would look at moving one of your 3 F/M (Rayner, Higgins and Garlett) forwards to mids to take advantage of DPP.

Cheers Ringo, will keep a close eye thru JLT..If he's solid, Ill stick with him at least early. If he doesn't come up, who would you suggest? Player at similar price or down grade to rookie?

Basically go with gut but wait till you see who is playing as well and if you can get a playing mid to downgrade too I would downgrade and then strengthen forwards or defence'

As I said earlier would move one of Rayner, Higgins or Garlet to mids and then bring in Ryan or Danirl Rioli in his place in forwards. opens the DPP for you and then your choice of where to upgrade,

Yup, seeing Laird in there just makes the side look more solid. He'll be in around 50% of all teams come the start of the year and for good reason ;)

Thanks for advice so this is as close to season start for now..recon I'm on right track?? If not, let me know. :) 9k in the bank. :P

Ashmore62

Sorry Venables at F6 instead of Higgins who now is at M8 :-[

Money Shot

Nice team there with some good pods. Hard to fault.

Ashmore62

A team without Danger!!.. Is he to expensive? Recon he is. My first draft without Patrick for years.. Uncharted waters.

Def: Hurley,Laird,Howe, Hanley, E Richards, S Murray. Bench. Mihocek, T Doedee

Mids: Dusty, Mitchell, Kelly,M Crouch, Fyfe, Griffin, Uniacke, Higgins. Bench. Worpel, D Barry, N Holman

Rucks: Sauce, Gawn, Bench. Olango.

Forwards: Buddy, T McLean, Lobb, Christensen, Rayner, Venables. Bench. Ryan, Garlett.

8k in the bank. Without Danger, my defense, mids and forwards look better balanced. only risk I see is Griff at m6, but as probably his last year, has chance to finish with a flag and his price is a bargain. Will pick up Patrick later when his price is more realistic..
Thoughts please :)

Put Danger back in mate, you'd be mad to go into the season without him.  I liked your team setup (w/ Danger)
